My child is 15 yrs old, a boy and he is sedimentary . If he does 20 squats x 2 and 30 mins of spot jogging how much weight will he lose per week ??
PS - He is 71 kgs
Pls tell me if i have to improve his exercise schedule!

The key to weight loss is changes in diet, exercise helps but is more important for general fitness,

rather than squats and jogging on the spot can he get out side and join a sport or ride a bike ?

If he must be inside, 15 minutes with a skipping rope will burn more calories than jogging on the spot. In addition to squats, other bodyweight exercise options to include in addition are pushups, crunches, planks, chair dips etc.

He's 15! Seriously just get him balanced diet. Growing will do the rest. Use Samsung s,health to calculate his calories whilst jogging on the spot. Also as he is still growing just be careful of the intensity of the work out could damage his joints. Change diet, he'll feel better. 20 mins should put him in a fat burning zone so minimum30min exercise of any kind will help shake off the extra kilos in time

Your Weight Loss Plan Should Include:

1. Exercise
2. Balanced diet intake
3. Post dieting weight maintenance
4. Set realistic goals for weight reduction
5. You need to burn around 3500 calories to lose one pound of weight
6. After you have reduced your weight by 10%, try to maintain it for about six months through exercise and diet.
7. You should try to lose around 5 to 10% of your current body weight, one to two pounds per week or try to reduce your calorie intake by 500 - 1,000 calories a day.
