hi
im a junior in high school!
i need to lose 60lbs before senior year!
help me please!
i just need some tips!
thanks!

hiya how long until you start senior year? i have 100lbs to lose and its going to be hard but with the help off these forums and family support i will get through this stage in my life.i got bullied at school about my weight but still this didnt give me the boost i needed, instead i got depressed and ate more and got bigger.you need to get into a healthy lifestyle with plenty of love and support around you,so explain to any family members how you feel about your weight and could they help with the healthy eating habits your going to take on.this is my first week being religious to my healthy lifestyle i have found motivation in these forums, also keeping a journal helps.
discide when your going to have a treat and enjoy it then work on your healthy lifestyle again.is it food that you love or lack of excercise? mine is lack of excercise so im doing my hip hop workout dvd everyday and ive just started water aerobics.i had my treat last night as i was going out,got a babysitter, woohoo lol!! so i had a few drinks and a chinese, but instead of thinking oh i was bad last night one more day wont hurt like in the past, i have woke up thinking its my first day im going to excercise and have a healthy sunday lunch, slightly smaller portion than usual.
i love smoothies oh my god there good,i had a banana and mango smoothie(that i made of course) the 2nd day of my healthy eating and it was yummy i had it instead of my dinner and it filled me up.
once you get those first few pounds off you will feel amazing and have a boost of motivation which helps.so in the first week stick to it and dont go down hill because when you hit them scales you will feel proud.my weigh in is on thursday so fingers crossed.

good luck, all the best shell x

hi there! I'd love to help you make senior year the best it can be!!

Do you prepare your own meals? Is it something your willing to try? TO loose weight its all about cal's in vs cal's out. Simply stated, eat less, move more. I know, its easy to say. But you can do it.

I am on a 1200 cal diet and I just LOVE IT!! You can have anything you want, but just stay under 1200 cals. Thats what you need to worry about first. After you get the hang of it, you can try to make healthier choices and such.

OH, and you'll want to start a diary, write down everything you eat. That will help A LOT!!! Good luck and let me know if you need any help!

Im with Newbride I too think 1200 calorie is the easiest way to go to lose the weight instead of cutting foods out that if you eat later you gain back. Just eating this way I can eat what I want and stay at 1200. This with excercise I think is the best way to go but only you can decide. If you need anything Im here to help as well. Good luck to you Hon.

omg! thanks for your guys advice. i have been on the 1200 cal diet before. it really does work! i lose 10lbs in like 6 weeks. the thing is the food my family eats wasn't working for me. im starting that diet again on MONDAY. tomorrow! my senior year starts in AUGUST! im still a junior.

hey.. i just wanted to add my support to you in your weight loss. I was overweight all through my senior year and the first two years of University. I'm now in my final year and realised i was waisting my life away and not enjoying it to the full.. all because i wasn't happy with my body etc.

After starting my diet and joining this board i have lost around 14lbs in a month. People have started to notice the difference, and i am a much happier person. I still have a way to go.. but it has helped me stick to what i am doing.

You can do it love.. I have my upmost faith in you. Hell.. if i can do it.. the so can you. :D

Hi lehua,
I read your post and it seems that we are starting on the same day and at the same point. I too am at 190 and want to be at 130. I'm starting low calorie today. maybe we could be support biddies. let me know

have you considered getting into some weight training? As the low cal diet sheds the pounds, added muscle will start showing thru to give your body that nice toned look....the muscle will also help keep the fat at bay too!
