AHello! I have been using my fitness pal to track calories and when I started they suggested eating 1340 calories a day to lose weight. I stay within these calories but at night and especially in the morning my stomach is growling so bad I feel sick!! I have been losing weight though which is a good thing but I didn't think I would feel so hungry all the time
 
Its all about what you eat. I'm using my fitness pal too but I'm eating around 1000 a day.



Personally, I love eggs but never really liked the yellow bit. So, in the morning, I'd have two boiled egg whites (about 50kcal) and a slice of wholemeal toast with butter (about 120kcal) and that keeps me going for awhile cos they are high protein foods.

I snack on rice cakes during the day and oil-popped popcorn as night.

I weigh everything, am always drink water.

My dinner normally consists of a chicken breast and 60gms (uncooked) wholemeal rice with a load of spice, this is still only around 400-450 cals.

I also will have half a tin of spaghetti and 2 slices of wholemeal toast (no butter) for lunch sometimes (280cals altogether)



It's all a matter of chosing foods that will fill you, eating regularly and drinking water throughout the day. I have a litre bottle with me at all times!
 
One thing i have learned -eat when your hungry, stop when you are full- as simple as it sounds its not! if your anything like me you enjoy eating...why? because its yummmmy but its also about what you eat. my highest calorie intake is in the morning so i have all day to work it off ill eat a medium bowl of fiber filled cereal (my fav is half country harvest half all bran) with skim milk and a large bowl of fruit, usually grapes and strawberries. i et that at about 9....and i too am also STARVING in the AM if i get hingry befor 1 ill eat some more fruit or celery with low fat peanutbutter...lunch usually salad with a low cal dressing my fav salad is either ceaser minus crutons or an iceberg lettuce with tomatos and cukes with a tex mex dressing (half low cal ranch half salsa) with 40% less fat cheese...thats at about 1...then if i get huingry befor 5 ill usually have a v8 or a smoothie then dinner is a small lean chicken breast with saalad OR veg (brocoli coliflower....w/e) and a starchy veg (peas, carrots turnip) sometimes ill have brown rice or a potato wish salsa....then drink water till the next morning....so yeah eat when your hungy stop when your full...and really pay attention to your body, if your borec, your prob not hungry, get busy keep occupied (if your not really hungry) or try having some water offten thirst is mistaken for hunger but if neither work and your truly hungry opp for something healthy. also if your a night eater (which is a down fall for me) you have to train your body to not be hungry at night sorta thing once youv been not eating for a week or so in the evening your body will get use to it. baby steps! maybe your giving your body a shock? i hope this helped a bit. keep us posted.
 
AI had that problem with Myfitnesspal, too. I reset my weekly loss goal from 2lbs a week, to 1.5, and set my activity level up one notch. I walk a lot at work and during the day. It bumped my calories up from 1240 to 1630! I felt like I won the food lottery! Haha! I only eat between 1300-1500 a day, but I know I have that cushion. The weight started coming off again.

I had the same issue when I first left Jenny Craig. I was trying to come up with ways to stay full and stay around 1300 calories a day. (removed link). I have found that water melon and oranges are now my top goto foods when I want something sweet (I never thought they could be as satisfying as a brownie)...ha!


Also, have you tried those Vita Tops (they are in the frozen food section - white box). I found them, again post Jenny Craig, and use their brownies as a replacement for what the JC program has. They are pretty yummy and only 100 calories.

..............you just posted on a page that i had asked about cleanses, and thats what you said it was, a cleanse, now your tellng her its to keep you full? sounds prefft fishy to me.
