Help! I'm trying to loose another 20 pounds, then I strted bingeing everyday!! No I have about 30 pounds to loose! I fall victim to peanutbutter most the time and it dosent help when my dad buys chips cookies and tons of junk food! Help! I need to control myself an get to a 1,200 calorie diet instead of my binge 3,500 calorie diet! I need tips!

I dont think you really need many tips. Seems you have the problem pretty well isolated.

Chances are you are being to strict which then leads to binges.

What size are you? 1200 is pretty low for anyone.

You can always just bust your ass. Fat loss is calories in/calories out. If you cant control the in, just ramp up the out.

Thanks, I should really be on a 1,500 calorie diet but I tel myself 1,200 cuz I know I'll go over. I just have a hard time not eating 24/7 What food will satisfy me ! Cuz nothing seams like it will until the whole jar of peanutbutter is gone.

Hey! I used to do that too. Just remember that you will never feel good after a binge. You feel gross and bloated and all that crap. It has long-lasting effects on your body and overall health. Whatever u are trying to satisfy will not be accomplished through food. Meditate, exercise, try to distract yourself. Measure out your spoonful of peanut butter and put the jar away...hide it! lol Don't keep too many tempting foods in the house. I occasionally overeat sometimes, but I haven't had "binge" moments like before. I just realized they were only making me more upset. I also found Bethenny Frankel's Naturally Thin book really helpful...She has a chapter on binging and what not. Also, there was an online article that talked about the fact that this binger was overeating but wasn't actually enjoying the food. I mean, think about it, when you are binging you are pondering what you will consume next instead of enjoying that particular morsel in your mouth. Right? Also, I don't recommend the 1200 calorie idea. It seems that will just set you up for binging at some point in the future when you momentarily lose your willpower. Good luck!!! I love peanut butter too! =)

Alright thanks, I think once school starts I'll have better control. An I don't enjoy the food! I do think about what's next! And I'm bingeing right now, or atleast just ending. I kept track of the calories, 1,430. What's should I do? Subway for dinner and my sub I get is 425 calories. Should I eat it or should I put it in the fridge and eat it for breakfast tomorrow and just have something light, like a apple and yougurt? This time it wasn't as bad as other times. One time I over ate so much my stomach couldn't hold all that ice cream and I threw up. What should I do? Eat light? Or eat like nothing happened?

Binging No More!

Are you especially stressed right now or unhappy? In other words, is there a reason you are binging? Boredom maybe? I know it's hard but just try to convince yourself that binging is not the answer. Think of tomorrow as a fresh day. Eat sensibly, exercise, take care of yourself. Sometimes in the past when I let myself go beauty wise (didn't tweeze or shave in couple days for example), I would think it would be ok to binge. U know? Just try to treat yourself by doing things that make u feel pretty and all, and maybe you will be less likely to want to go in a backwards direction by binging. Sometimes when I study now and get anxious and need more fuel to focus, I might allow myself an extra pb sandwich or whatever, but I try to remember that I did that later after the test has passed so I can make up for it by eating a little less. U know? And I think if you indulged reasonably (not binged) every now and then u would be consuming less calories than one single binging episode. So try to be kind to yourself. And just exercising the calories away from binging is not the answer...wears you out and continues the cycle. Hope this helps! (Maybe try chewing gum to get over the oral fixation or play with a toothpick? lol) If episodes continue, try to keep track of them so maybe u can pinpoint what triggers them...might help. But please do yourself a favor and don't binge! You can do it! =p

how can anyone help you when you keep changing your details? In one post you state you weigh 110lbs - 108lbs, in another you say you weigh 150lbs. You have posted 2 threads already asking the same stuff. This time you left out how you wanted to be 80lbs. No one is going to help you if you keep reposting this stuff, changing your initial details, and leaving out vital information; such as you are trying to reach a dangerously low weight.

Hey hun,

I totally understand about the peanut butter. I am a slave to Jiff, and it's a really easy way to grab some protein.
Since I am going back into a weight loss plan (I too am at 1,500 cals/day) I know I have to keep away from it for the most part. PB is an AWESOME source of protein, but unfortunately it is EXTREMELY high in fat. You need to be a conscious eater. What happens to me is that I start eating for no reason. I also forget that I have a terrible health history in my family.
I think what we both need to do during these times is eat with a full mind. We should try to visualize how we will feel after the food binge, which is terrible.
We both need to cut it down on the peanut butter. We can do it!

If I were you I would go easy on the peanut butter. There are over 800 peanuts in a jar of that stuff and the proteins in peanuts aren't meant to be consumed in such large quantities. You're setting yourself or your kids up for future peanut allergies which can be fatal.

SCIENCE PLEASE!?

Did you seriously just say that if you eat too many peanuts that your kids will have peanut allergies?

Mayoclinic:

Causes
By Mayo Clinic staff

Peanut allergy occurs when your immune system mistakenly identifies peanut proteins as something harmful. When you have direct or indirect contact with peanuts, your immune system releases symptom-causing chemicals into your bloodstream. It isn't known exactly why some people become allergic to peanuts and others don't.

Exposure to peanuts can occur in different ways:

Direct contact. The most common cause of peanut allergy is eating peanuts or peanut-containing foods. Sometimes direct skin contact with peanuts can trigger an allergic reaction.

Cross-contact. This is the unintended introduction of peanuts into a product. It's generally the result of a food being exposed to peanuts during processing or handling.

Inhalation. An allergic reaction may occur if you inhale dust or aerosols containing peanuts, such as that of peanut flour or peanut oil cooking spray.

Food allergy vs. food intolerance
In some cases, what may appear to be a food allergy may actually be a food intolerance. Unlike a true food allergy, a food intolerance doesn't involve the immune system. With a true food allergy, even tiny amounts of the food can cause a severe reaction. In most cases, someone who has a food intolerance can eat small amounts of the food with only mild symptoms, such as indigestion or heartburn.

you know, I am an ex binger. what works for me is when I grab the food I just spend a couple of seconds to think: is this what I need? do eating this will make my problems go away or make me feel better afterwards? will it give me any nutrients?
most of the times the answer is a NO. I just know that it takes a minute in my mouth and hours in my mind- from the regret.

so it is not worth it!
everything in moderation :D
and good luck!
