help getting a six pack

first off are you over\under wieght at all? second do a lot of sit ups and things that envolve your stomach muscles to get the actual muscle. But after that you need to do arobic exersizes swimming, punching bag, running just things that envolve your whole body. otherwise you will have very strong abs but it will be covered by a layer of fat. arobic exersizes are to burn the fat off so your six pack will show up well. so basicly just do a lot of abdomine exersizes one day then the next do running or something. this is what I was tought, you may want to wait for advice from someone more experienced. but this is basicly what I did, I only have about a four pack now but I did at one time have a six pack =p

A total body weight routine will help as well. The extra muscle everywhere will help burn more calories (fat) and help to show off the muscle that you do have. If you don't get under 10% BF, there is no way you will ever get a 6-pack.

Kalrog, thank you for writing in English.

10% ? I'll trust you on that as I am not strutting a 6 pack; but I think it varies from person to person a bit. I think that's a reasonable goal to set though!

Red,

It certainly does varry from person to person. Everyone carries fat differently, but that is just a general idea of where you need to be to get that 6 pack - I don't have one either though.

I'd agree with the cardio and weight training. You should also look very carefully at your diet. Diet is vital! You can run and workout all you want but if you have poor diet you can forget about the six pack. I've known people which have never worked out a day in their lives and they have a six pack.

what"s you diet like? you should look at your carbs protein and fat intake. You have to build muscle. protein intake should be 1.5 to 2 grams of your bodyweight. Keep your carbs low. Not sure of your measurements, but i tend to keep my carbs at 150grams total when trying to lose body fat. Extra carbs not used up as energy turn into fat! Thats why you need the cardio. But you also don't want to keep your muscle. at 1.5 grams this should be enough to maintain yor muscle.

good luck

Statistically or according to studies,

The 6-pack is revealed at 12% BF.

Cardio, diet, patience is the key to getting one.

To get a 6-pack a male must have under 10% body fat and a female 14%. Sit ups will not do a thing for your six-pack, crunches are what you need, not high reps, nothing over 30, try 3-4 sets of 25 reps.

look at my post on the "10 steps To Perfect Abs" on the "at home" forum i think you will find what you are looking right there
