Alright, I know this is strictly for weight training but hear me out. I have dedicated myself to go swimming every other day and swim about 25 30 laps (1 lap is back and forth) in an olympic sized pool. I figured this is applicable to weight training because it is a resistance work out because of the water.
I began eating half chickens with vegetables, more eggs, more yogurt, more bread and peanut butter etc...
Example of a days meal:
Morning: Bowl of fruit cereal and a cup of juice
Lunch: A Protein Bar and an Apple
Around 2pm: A tomato sauce pasta or Subway Chicken sandwhich
Dinner: Either 3 eggs w/ one yolk, salmon or half a chicken and vegetables.
Late night snack: Peanut butter with bananas.
My workout: before dinner swim for about 1 hour and 20 minutes
I also walk for about an hour from the metro to my college class and back.
Days I don't go swimming: I try to do 150 push ups and that's it...
I Don't drink ANY carbonated drinks or coffee, alcohol, etc. If I do have alcohol it will only be a small glass of wine.
I only drink water and powerade (powerade once every week).
So I thought I would see a huge difference in my physique but I been only getting skinnier! No toning of the muscles! I don't get it.
It has been two months (I know I have lost weight-->i don't have a weight scale with me)...
Last time i checked:
Weight 142lbs
Height: 5'9
And now I bet I weight like 136lbs or 135 honestly.
On a side note: I have even ate a couple pizzas and crepes with cheese and chicken every now and then (but I don't splurge on them like days straight).
And I live in Paris, France so I don't have a car and just walk everyday and use the metro.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
