hello

Hey, My name is Lorie, I’m new to this forum. I’m considering buying the product The 3 Week Diet and I can’t find honest reviews in the internet. Is there anyone here who know something about it?do you recommend it?

Thanks

Hi Lorie,
Welcome! Glad to have you here! Thanks for the question.... as far as the 3 week diet, it is up to you, I do not have personal experience with this specific product..... on that note though, I do have experience through clients, education and personal experience with regards to weight loss. When it comes to a 3 week diet, one thing that I will caution is that once you lose (XXX) amount of weight (whatever your goal is), will you be able to continue to live on that diet? Because if you cannot, you will gain the weight back. For example, some times people think that if they eat only... let's say water and celery, they will lose 10 pounds in a short amount of time and it will stay off. However, their body is really just losing the water weight that it contains and as soon as they start eating "normal" again (whatever their normal eating is), they will gain the weight back. The metabolism could have been affected in that diet and they might have an even harder time losing weight later on.
Also, one thing to keep in mind is that it takes longer than 3 weeks to form a habit, so if you are trying to eat healthier (or whatever the 3 week diet recommends) in order to lose weight, your body will not crave the healthy food/make a habit of eating the healthier choices in 3 weeks. On average, it takes about 65 days to form a lasting habit.
That is the goal for weight loss. To form a healthier habit of eating healthy and working out. Many people do not realize that by eating a low glycemic diet and doing some exercises (walking or taking the flight of stairs instead of the elevator) to start off, they can lose weight. I would be happy to chat with you more about this if you are interested.
With this, there are certain medical conditions that hinder weight loss or promote weight gain, so it really comes down to the individual and what their body and health point is at to determine the best way to lose weight. Happy to help!
