I've been looking for a forum of support for weight loss for a while. About 12 years ago I was very successful with weight loss and at the time I was in a small weight loss online community with very motivated and successful members and everyone's commitment to the goal was very motivating.
I am hoping to find this here!

I have since had two kids and then tragically lost my mom, both triggers for weight gain. I'd like to get back down to my pre-baby/pre-grief weight, which means losing 22 lbs.

My weakness is after meal sweets - I will have 3-4 M&Ms, then get more, then more, then more...I need to stop that. I also have a hard time socializing with friends without food involved.

Currently - 162
Goal - 140

No timeline.
 
Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry that you lost your Mum. Comfort eating is understandable under the circumstances, but good for you nipping it in the bud, with only 22 lbs to lose. I would imagine you are fairly active with 2 small children so the cutting out the unhealthy snacks should do the trick. Have some fresh fruit cut up & ready to snack on as that will also be convenient for your kids.

Yes - thank goodness they keep me active, otherwise I think it would be much worse!
I definitely need more healthy snacks for all of us - we've gotten into the convenience snack rut!
I will post a diary tomorrow :) I like that forum, it looks great!
