Hi i'm Emily from England and i'm 22 years old. I started losing weight in May and went from 10 stone 3 - 8 stone 10 (very briefly). Between august and September I fluctuated around the 9 stone 2 range and am currently 9 stone 1. (I'm only 5 foot 3 or 160cm). I find it easy to diet monday - thursday but really struggle thursday to sunday which is why i have plateaued. I work in a bar over the weekend with my best friend (she is the owner and chef) and find it so hard to resist top notch home made pub food and the odd vodka!! Ideally I want to be around 8 stone 6 but am finding it a struggle to get fully back on track after going on holiday for a weeks in August. In addition my bf is a nightmare!! He can eat anything and everything and just feel like i'm a waste over the weekends :(! I need to get my head back in the game and stick to it monday - sunday with one treat meal a week as I go away end of October and would like to be around 8 stone 12 ash then. GRRR! Anyway nice to meet you all! Hoping to use this sight to distract me from my cravings and read up on tips! Does anybody else really struggle with their job or with weekends? Thanks!

Oh, Emily, I understand your struggle. My husband & I ran a pub for 18 years & it has only been since we sold it that I have managed to lose weight. I gained over 35 kg in that time! You are facing an occupational hazard. I am also married to a man who simply does not gain weight.
You have youth on your side & the will to do something about your diet & lifestyle. Pick your treats well. If it is top-notch pub food, be very selective. Ditch the chips & bread & stick to the good-quality stuff. Exercise when you can. It can be done, but it is not easy. Welcome to the forum. Cheers- with peppermint tea :)

Thanks Cate, I just find it so hard! Like at the end of the shift if there's some pub chips going spare and then it's like "oh i'll just have a few" but it's just not helping! My other half is 11 stone 2 at 6 foot 1 and eats everything he can - grrr!!! It's not fair haha! Thanks for all the advice

I understand totally. I swear hot chips talk to you, especially at the end of a hectic pub shift. It's a crazy life. Just do the best you possibly can. It's not the healthiest of work environments.
