First post here. I have been at this weight loss journey for about a year and a half. I have dropped just over 100 pounds now. Recently have hit a plateau and have been stuck for a couple weeks now. Someone recommended this site for some ideas and encouragement. I am 44 years old and have been overweight my entire adult life. This is the most challenging thing that I have ever attempted.

If it were easy everyone would do it :). But glad you made the change and made it to where you are now, congratulations, excellent change. So what are you doing currently? Have you changed what you're eating/drinking? Changed exercise routines? You've done a tremendous job up until this point, you just have to keep pushing forward with your new look and lifestyle. I'm sure you'll get over the hump in time but it maybe something simple that can be tweaked. Welcome to the forum.

I have always eaten too much. For the past year I have cut out fried food, breaded foods, potatoes, sugar-rich snacks and cut my portion sizes way down. So far so good. Just trying to develop new habits to replace the old overeating ones.

Congratulations! That's an awesome loss. Yeah we've all eaten too much or we wouldn't be on this forum. Good job of making those changes. I think you must already have a lot of good new habits so keep up the good work.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your success so far! I'd make a diary in the Weight Loss Diary section of this forum.
