Hi there

I looked up this forum as I want to lose weight.
I had to quit gym to save up money and got lazy with watching my weight.

I would greatly appreciate advice on how I can drop down from 84 kg to 75 kg.
I do want to lose more but it`s extremely hard for me to lose weight when I reach 75kg - 77 kg.
I`m 167 cm tall. I keep track of my measurements. However I have no motivation!
I`ve been thinking about watching my diet more carefully and also going swimming maybe 3 times a week.
It`s been 3 months since I last went to the gym, it feels like an eternity ago...

As for my reason to lose weight it is that I want to fit into clothes. it`s not fun being one or two sizes bigger than the biggest size they sell... also at this weight I feel fat, which ruins my mood quite often. I`m also an emotional eater ...

I live in Japan right now so things like, turkey, fruit salad etc are too expensive for me :/ I can afford an apple every now and then.

I was 75 kg when I came to Japan 3 years ago and I would like to drop back to that weight before I go back home again.

Anyway that`s about me~
I hope this forum will prove useful :)
Good luck everyone!

Wow, I was actually your weight like two weeks ago. Crazy. Well, I hadn't seen results in years until I downloaded a food diary onto my phone.

I was active sometimes and not seeing results simply because I was consuming waaayy too many calories without really realizing it.
In two weeks, I've dropped 14 lbs pretty effortlessly. I mean, I definitely follow my diet, which allows me to eat whatever I want. I just plan it out
and follow actual serving sizes. I'm never hungry because I'm not consuming empty calories.

The apps track what you eat, how much you're moving and exercising, so there's no guess work. Even if I don't work out, I know I'm going
to lose weight because my app tells me exactly what my caloric deficit for the day is.

Of course, I work out to build stamina and muscle so I wont become "skinny-fat", but it's mainly in portion control.

You can download any food diary app you prefer. I'm sure they're all pretty similar, but trust me, it's fool proof unless you don't log in exactly what you're consuming. It really taught me about my habits. Most of my caloric intake wasn't even real food. It was junk like candy, bagels and coffee.

Once I just focused on my main meals and incorporated the other small treats within my daily calorie intake, I've seen nothing but weight fall off.

Trust me, you can do this.

btw you can even look up meals and foods from restaurants so you can track what you eat even when you go out :)
