Hey everyone!

29, male, father of 2 and living in the UK.

Stats:
Height: 5ft 8
Weight: 13st 8lb

Since the age of 22 I began putting in weight. Before that, I was one of those guys who could just eat anything and get away with it.

Ever since I started putting weight in I have wanted to do something about it but just kept putting it off. Somehow, it's now 7 years later and I'm finally trying to do something.

I joined a GYM last week and have been 3 times since. (Would have been more but my exhaust fell off the car and it was out of action for 3 days) but yeah, I'm really enjoying it so far and seem to be in a much better mood and feeling more refreshed already, especially straight after a workout.

I produce mobile games for a living so tend to sit on my bum all day at work, which certainly hasn't been helping with the weight gain.

I also have 2 children, so can't escape as much as I would like. Ideally I would be doing 4 days a week but my partner has agreed I can do 2-3 or more if I go when the children aren't home haha.

Looking forward to getting into shape with you all and learning everything you all have to offer.

Welcome Pacey. I had to use Google to figure out how much 13st 8lbs was ... 86 kg (190 lbs). I kind of wish we weighed ourselves in stones. I feel like it's a more relateable weight measurement, even if the conversion is as confusing as feet and inches in the US.

Anyway, glad to see you are hitting the gym. When I fall off the wagon, getting back to the gym on a regular basis is always the hardest part.

Haha, yeah. I have been reading a few posts on here with weight all in lb and having to do some mental arithmetic to understand it haha. Stone makes much more sense to me ;)

The gym is about the only major thing I can change. We eat pretty healthy, I do all the cooking in the house and have a passion for vegetable growing so we're eating a lot of home grown veg. My portion sizes could probably do with a little work like haha

Glad to see you here Pacey! I love that you grow your own veggies! That was such a big help for me when I lose weight. There are A LOT of great workouts you can do from your home on the days that you can't make it to the gym. I have even seen excercises that your kids can do with you! ( if they are old enough that its =) ) Looking forward to hearing more about your story and how you are doing! Keep us updated friend.
