The Screen name says it all… I am feeling might old these days.


But I am wondering if it is too late to change that… I am in my 50s I am at least 30 pounds overweight by my standards… 50 by the standard weight chart…


I have two bad knees and my back is not much better but I am wondering if I can reverse some of this by exercise and weight loss.


That is why I’m here, hoping to get some motivation learn a few things and get some ideas


I have started back training Martial Arts after a long hiatus due to injury so I am hoping things will start to get a little better.
 
Hi FeelinOld - no worries , there are quite a few of us "oldies" on this site ,


..I've only been at it for a few weeks now - but have managed to squeeze a few pounds off - it can be done...even over 50 :)


...and many others here have had major success with losing (even at our humble ages)....


- welcome - and it's never too late to improve your health - and the experience and support of the great folks on this site is a major inspiration.

Welcome to the forum! Like Maryann said, it's never too late to improve your health! You'll just have to start slow and be patient (and gentle) with your body.
 
Thank You, I am going to go fo it and hope it is not to late.


Now if I can only convince my right knee that I'm not to old we/re good.

Well, I'm back to give it another go.

Been dealing with knee issues, cataract surgery and then a detached retina. But I am back working on better eating and exercise
