Hello :)

Hello. My name is Kait. I'm 21 years old and I live in central New Jersey. I'm a senior at TCNJ (The College of New Jersey), and I'll be graduating (not soon enough) with a Bachelors in Philosophy. I want to write journals about my Ethical Theories including approaches to Environmental and Animal moral codes. I also want to write fiction books, probably sci-fi or fantasy.

For my *real* job, though, I want to be a nutritional counselor, or something similar. I'm going to be attending the Institute for Integrative Nutrition this Fall-Spring... I'm really looking forward to it. :) My father has a great business idea and we might start something together.

I love cooking and want to get some professional training. I've been looking at the Natural Gourmet Institute in NY. Hmm what else...

I'm mostly a vegetarian, but I still eat fish. I love Japanese food and cannot live without sushi. My Ethical interest might make you think I'm vegetarian for animal rights issues but that's not the case. High Cholesterol runs in my family and I just tried to do what I felt would be healthiest for me.

I started eating Pria Power Bars and drinking SLimFast Shakes to try and up my protien intake. I know it would be smarter to mix foods to get a full and balanced vegetian source of protein, but I'm a broke college kid so I have to take the easy and probably less healthy way out. I like to buy organic stuff but, again, I'm broke.

I live in an apartment with my boyfriend, we've been together for just over 3 years now. We're both really into video games. I have an XBox 360, Nintendo Gamecube (looking forward to the Wii, BIG TIME), and a PS2 (NOT looking forward to the PS3). I also love books and animals. I have two pets, a black male cat named Jack and a dark sable ferret named Icarus. Icarus is my baby <3 and Jack is my goofball lol. My cat acts like a dog and my ferret... well he just acts lazy 90% of the time and CRAZY 10%. I love them both very much.

I'm really into holistic healing. I think that most ailments today can be treated if a person eats organic, wholesome foods, and eats them in the right amounts for their body (along with the right amount of exercise). I don't think pills are needed unless being healthy doesn't solve the problem first (I guess that was obvious...).

I currently work at a Vitamin Shoppe. I've only been there about a week now but I really like it.

I have, like, zero friends, lol. Feel free to message me. :D I always like meeting new people. If you happen to be on XBox live I'd love to exchange gamer tags. Or, well, I'm I DreamWeaver I (idreamweaveri). Feel free to message me there as well. Unfortunately I only currently own Chrome Hounds, so that's all I can play online.

Yeah I think I'm done ranting about myself. Nice to meet all of you!

It's very good to have you here Kait.

Welcome to the forum!

:)

One very serious question......why on earth aren't you looking forward to the PS3?!
haven't got my xbox hooked up to my network yet but, will look you up when I do...

welcome to the forum...

big computer/video game player here though my gaming time is spent mainly in MMORPGs like everquest (1&2), final fantasy XI and World of Warcraft.

Well, the PS3 is simply outrageous. Its going to be way too expensive, and the only thing they really have going for them is graphics -- and personally, graphics aren't the most important thing to me. 360 looks great and has a superb online service, Wii is remarkably revolutionary and looks like so much fun... And I HATE how Sony steals technology (that whole rumble fiasco) and is bashing everyone else. Its like they know they're gonna suck and they're just covering it up and pretending to be better... I also love how the head of the PlayStation devision said that he thinks people should get a second job to pay for his *wonderful* system. I might miss Final Fantasy, but I think the series is getting old. Also, Square Enix's top people (the real guys who started Final Fantasy back when it was just Squaresoft), left to crat MistWalker studios (not sure I spelled that right), and they have two great games coming to the 360 (exclusively).

It just seems like the PS3 is a lot of bark and no bite... it has stuff I feel like I won't need, and I'd be paying an arm and a leg for it. The Wii is what I'm looking forward to most, but its also great to have the 360 for conventional gameplay.

Lol sorry I ramble. :p I mean I'm sure the PS3 will have cool games, I just love what I can get on 360 and Wii. If Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out on PS3 I might be a little upset... but I'm not gonna buy a whole system for 1 or 2 games. Sony is also very VERY into Japanese-y titles like those beautiful RPGs... Valkyrie Profile: Silmaria for example.. I'm sure it will be a good game, and all the others I'm sure have their merit, but its just so cookie cutter now. I like the pretty cut scenes but I think its time for some innovation and new ideas. 360's "innovation" is their excellent online service. PS3 might be getting one but... I think 360 masters that aspect. And Wii, well... obviously that is something drastically new.

Right right I went off on a tangent again.

Oh, and to Stingo... I LOVE MMORPGs... but I don't like spending money every month lol. I tried Hero, its free, PC... but it crashes my computer so I can't really play PC games. I really want Final Fantasy XI for 360 but again, the monthly payments... not that much I know but I want to get a MMORPG I will really love, and for a long time, not something I'll get tired of. I really want to try World of Warcraft but again, my computer is... probably not good enough for it. And I'm not smart enough computer wise to fix it up to be able to handle a PC game.

I'm currently a little obsessed with Oblivion for 360, I borrow my boyfriend's game... I wish it was online, but its still a great game. Its amazing how expansive the world is, even though everyone's just NPCs. It probably makes the game better cause it feels like you're there. If it were online I think people breaking out of character would make it less believable.
