:) Hi All. I am new here, glad to have found this site. Well just a short history about me. I have always weighed between 110-115 my entire life. I never had a problem with my weight. I was put on a medication for anixiety and in a year and a half have gained 30 pounds. Well, I know that is within the range for my height, but I just feel SO uncomfortible. Most of that weight is in my stomach, I feel so bloated and none of my clothes fit. I am hoping that I can find the motivation and support here. If anyone has any sugguestions for me please let me know. Good Luck to everyone here on their weight loss journey.

Hi hun, glad you found us too! You'll definetly get the support you need here! What kind of diet are you thinking about? I'm a big fan of the 1200 cal diet!

You might want to start a diary, makes it easy for us to keep tabs on you,and you can keep track of calories and excersize!

Good luck, let me know if you have any questions!

Hi newbride02.

Thanks for repyling. :) I am going to try to start my day walking as briskly as I can for 30 minutes and do some yoga stretches too.
I have been eating very healthy now for a few weeks and I am making sure not to eat junk. I'm doing ok for now, but I am hoping that I can keep this up until after Christmas and then I intend to really step it up in the excersize departement. I am hoping that by June I will be looking and feeling better. :D OH, can you make a diary on here? I haven't noticed, and what is the 1200 diet? I amready to learn all I can! Thanks

Oh yes you can make a diary...we have a whole section dedicated to them. Just go to the Diary section, and click on 'new thread".

THe 1200 cal diet is wonderful! You can have anything you want as long as you don't go over 1200 cals. Of course, try to make the best choices you can, but its great b/c on those days that you just have to have a mcd's fry or a candy bar, you can, just make sure the cals are within your allowed total. I found that you can break up the cals like this...300 each for breakfast lunch and dinner, then you get 3 100 cal snacks.

Welcome to the forum! If you need some support, I'm here for you. Sorry to hear about the pills making you gain weight. Did they increase your appetite or just slow you down? Are you still taking them?
Anyhow, you'll find lots of great ideas and motivation on here. Nice to meet you!

Welcome Cricket!

Keeping an online journal here is really helpful - it keeps you honest with yourself publicly.

I'm having a lot of luck with a natural supplement called 5-htp too. You can click the link in my signature to read about it if you're interested.

Glad you found us! Make sure to let us know how else we can help you.

Hi everyone, again Thanks for the warm welcome :) MissJellyBelly. I am not taking the medication any longer. I have been off them for almost 8 months now. I think my metabalisim(sp)? really slowed down and I hope to correct that with exercise and eating right. I really think I can do this and I thank all of you for the advice I have gotten here and I look forward to reading everyone else's diarys and hope I can add also to this forum.
