Hi all, I'm 24 years old and gained 50 pounds last year. I'm mostly terrified of my weight affecting my health. Both my parents died at the age of 46. Both deaths were heart/diabetes related. So far, I have been healthy but if I keep going at the rate I am and don't get into shape, I'm afraid it will catch up with me eventually.
I have been procrastinating on exercising and changing my diet and I think it is because I have no support from anyone. My boyfriend is in great shape and has never been overweight in his life. So he really doesn't understand. And I have hardly any friends with weight problems. So, I think that this forum will be great to jumpstart my ambiton and will give me the support I have needed. Congratulations to everyone who has achieved their weight loss goals, and to those who are well on their way. Losing weight and changing your lifestyle and breaking your old habits is defenitely hard work. I know I have a long hard road ahead of me, but hopefully before I know it, I will have reached it!!!
