Hello all my name is Kelly and I am 36 years old as of last week. My goals are to loose 95 lbs in less than a year. At least 50 by summer. I have been overweight almost all of my life and desperate to make a change. I have had multiple back surgeries and the extra weight doesnt help the pain or the problem. I am looking for some excercise tips for bad backs and ideas are greatly appreciated. I am sure I will get the support I need and I am looking forward to reaching my goals and doing it with some new and needed support :eek:. So here I go on my weight loss journey.

Hello,
I suggest that you go to your doctor and see what he/she says about exercise. He/she may recommend certain exercises that will help you and not hurt you! That is the most important part of exercises. No pain!!!

You might want to start a diary, we use it to keep track of our cals and excersize.

while i commend you for wanting to start this long road to a healthier new you, i do believe your setting your goal too high thus possibly setting yourself up for failure. 50 pounds by July MIGHT be possible IF you lose 1 1/2 pounds consistently every single week starting now. the reality of it is you will hit plateaus and some weeks will go by where you wont lose a single pound try as you might. so first i'd start by setting the goals a little smaller just so you dont end up getting frustrated and giving up. good luck and we're here for you! :)

Welcome and good luck! Work hard and don't give up. Those smaller goals will help you succeed. If you have any questions just ask! You can do it!
