Hi,

This is my first time here, but I am glad I found it. After trying to lose weight for the last 10 years, I think I have finally found my problem--eating when I am not really hungry. Too many snacks and I am ready to change my eating lifestyle. I am taking medicine for my thyroid and high blood pressure and I blame this on me being overweight. I am at my heaviest today than ever and I have to do something about it. I have tried diet plans and they all fail, so I am trying to only eat when I am hungry and walk on my treadmill each day. Hopefully, I will succeed this time. Well, that's my story.

hi!

Hello! Good luck with your efforts! It sounds like you have a reasonable plan. I would possibly recommend journaling as well. I was an emotional eater, and since I have been journaling, I do not have as much of an urge to eat something when I am upset or bored. It has really helped a lot. :)

Hello! Twinmom is right, journaling really helps you get out your feelings, so you wont want to comfort eat. You sound motivated, you'll be at your goal in no time at all!

Hi, aga! Welcome! Glad to have you with us! I, too, have high blood pressure that my doctor says will go down if I lose weight. I'm looking forward to the day when I can go off the medicine. Like twinmom says, journaling is a good way to keep yourself on track. There are several clubs, too, that you can join. It's always nice to post with people who are in the same place you are.

Good luck! Let us know if we can help you achieve your goals in any way.
