Hello. I need Help!!

Hello everyone.
I am a 24 year old female who desperately needs some help and advice. Here's my situation:

4 months ago I broke my leg. I have been unable to use that leg at all since then. As a result I have not been able to do any activities. Therefore I have put on some weight and lost muscle tone.

I know I will be going through physical therapy to help me use my leg again and to reverse the atrophy of the muscles in that leg. But what should I do about the rest of me?

I feel horrible about myself. I can't wear any decent clothes because of the pins and fixator sticking out of my leg. So everything is frumpy and baggy so it makes me look worse. I have gained weight in the tummy area mostly...

Any advice or help that anyone can give I would appreciate it. I still cannot use my leg yet, but what can I do in the meantime to help get me started on the road to feeling better about myself? There has to be something I can do while restricted to the couch?

i'm not sure what you can do about cardio while ur all gimpy-like, but i do know that you can train your good leg. It has been proven that working on one leg will actually help the bad one ... this should help reduce some of the atrophy that you will have.
