Hello. I’m Patrick from Daly City, a suburb of San Francisco. I feel like a new man after getting a new hip in October. I’d been in pain for a couple years and not able to be very active. The chronic pain and lack of activity led to some depression which for me led to overeating. My recovery went better than expected and within a few weeks I was getting back into life and today if it wasn’t for the scar on my hip I’d never know I had the surgery. I’m eager to drop the weight I’ve put on the last couple years. I’m using a popular diet program (not sure if I can name it or if that’s considered spamming) that has a great structure and is working very well.

I look forward to interacting here on the forum!

hip, hip, hooray! i know the feeling. at first i was a little chicken to get a replacement hip since i had never been in the hospital or been operated on before, but as you noticed, it just gets too painful. so i had the procedure and wound up also having a good experience with the outcome. compared to my future knee replacements, the hip was a breeze to recover from, with simply walking being the best therapy.

i eventually found a diet that works for me, too (a combination of severely limiting sugar and intermittent fasting) and i'm now back at my mid-20's weight again. even better new most recently. the arthritis feels so much less painful in general. no big surprise... without the extra 50 lbs i was lugging around with me 8 months ago, my joints haven't been this happy in decades. i'm sure that will help with you, too.

good luck.
