Hello Everyone,

I'm on day 5 of the Cohens programme. My goal seems to be soooo far away at the moment but I'm determined to make this the last diet I will ever be on.

I look forward to reading the posts here and hearing from you all.

Howdy welcome and goodluck,Tammy :)

Hi Karen and welcome,

You're in the right place for support while your on Cohen's and though the task at hand seems daunting you just have to keep coming here(to the forums) to find inspiration to keep going. Well, it always works for me ;)

Good Luck!

Irene

Welcome to the forum Karen! :)

I know it seems a bit daunting at first when you see the full amount you have to lose but trust me it gets easier! and sliding your ticker downwards after every weigh in is so exhilirating!feel free to post about anything and everything on here...youll always find someone with an answer to your questions or just a simple listening ear.

before you know it your clothes will be hanging of you :p

good luck and look forward to sharing the journey!

Also new

Hello, just started on Cohen's 5 days ago. have weighed this morning and I have lost 3.4kg. Can't really say I can see any difference yet, but very excited to know that it is working :) for me after so many diets that have not.

Welcome Karen and Carina:)

This programme has been one of the greatest decisions I have ever made and the weight literally falls off.........and without any strenous exercise.
Look forward to hearing about your successful journey and watch those tickers go down.

Wow.. THANKS!!!

Hi everyone and thanks for your supportive comments to my first post :)

I'm on day 6 today and am feeling very tired. I also feel very lightheaded when stand up. I usually have quite low blood pressure anyway 90/60, but this never usually makes me feel soooo dizzy.

Has anyone else felt like this? I must admit I was a little worried when I got up thismorning and felt so woozy.

Onward and downward!!!

I must admit particularly at the start I felt woozy sometimes, then occasionally (once every 2 weeks) ongoing though the diet. I think it is blood sugar based. For me I think it sometimes caused by sweet apples (apples are very sweet in japan). Some days you will feel flat and tired, I am not sure why, just seems to happen sometimes, however for me it is a sign of a bigger than normal drop in weight the next few days after a slow few days.

Thanks for the welcome. Have stayed the same for two days, I know I should put the scales away but need to know this will work. Less Fatty I read all your diary yesterday and it was very interesting. You seem to know the ins and outs of the diet. Can anyone tell me what would be a normal weight loss in the first week?

Hello everyone,
I started Cohen's on Monday (day 3) and I am surprised that I am not hungry most of the time. I should say that I was highly sceptical that this diet would work, but thought at least it is low carb and low fat. It was finding this forum and seeing how supportive you all are that convinced me to spend the $$.
Good luck to all the other newbies.

I think its starting to get easier, was not hungry all afternoon, didn't even feel like my cracker. Things are looking up. Girls at work ate chocolate in front of me and I did not feel like any!! Has anyone got some new ideas for lunches?

for my lunches, what I usually do is cook some steak or chicken that has marinated in garlic and salt and pepper, and i cook it the night before, and slice it up into thin slices...so my lunch is 2 crisps with the meat, and then salad toppings...i usually have red onion, rocket, tomato, cucumber and cabbage on top.

it's so easy, and fulfilling...

Hi Pumpkins and Carina,
Just noticing you both started at the same weight as me and have similar goals.
It will be really nice to see your progress along the road.
Good luck!
I got on the scale at home thismorning and it showed 86kgs... woo hoo!! I know I will probably be a bit heavier on the Cohens scales at weigh in time, but hey it's all good isn't it!

Hello there Karen,
How is your weight loss going? At last count on Sunday I had lost 5.4 or so but have had my scales confisicated because I was getting öbsessed"..."Have you been doing any walking or other light exercise?
I know they say we should not do any but would it increase your weight loss if you did?

HI Carina

Unfortunately i've had a very bad week... diet wise. I went back to uni this week and I just fell off the wagon completely. Stress? Perhaps!

With regard to exercise, this is the second time I have done Cohens and I found that I didn't have enough energy to exercise and when I tried I became ravenous and deviated!!

So I guess it's more about how you feel you can cope with a little exercise. For me it's a no go zone. For you it might help.

The only thing you can do is give it a try and if you don't experience any ill effects, i.e. hunger or extreme fatigue, then go for it.

Good Luck!

Thanks for that Karen. I only lost .8 this week being my second and I felt and bit down as I expected greater things. I have not deviated once but I suppose everyone is different and loose at different speeds. I am hoping for greater things this week.

I hope you get your will power back and keep on with it. We fatties know that it is all we wish for to be thin but we sometimes just can't get in the head space to do it. Hope this helps:)

Fell off the wagon

I've just refocused and restarted my program after a little lapse. I think the trip to Qld was my downfall... along with feeling very physically weakened from lack of food. I've also had a hectic couple of weeks which doesn't help!

I've put on a few kilos :( but have refocused over the past few days and am now feeling much stronger.

Onward and downward!!

Hi Guys,

I was at the two week mark yesterday so I wonder if I'm at about the same as you? I don't like too many vegetables so I was having the mozzarella cheese with a cracker biscuit and green capsicum under the grill with salad but got very sick of it very quickly. I now have tuna and salad for lunch (the whole week) and it is my favourite meal of the day. I also do chicken mince with garlic, chilli and pepper and roll up into 4 small balls and squash them down and have them for dinnerevery second night with hot vegies. I love them and always eat from a butter plate so my plate looks really full.

I feel so motivated reading this forum don't you??
