Hey all, I'm American but I just moved to Scotland for five months. I am having the hardest time finding my normal healthy grocery items over here! I'm in a really small town. I spent about an hour at the grocery store and all I came away with were chicken breasts (even these were hard to find, most are breaded over here), eggs, oats (called porridge?), and some fruit.
If anyone is from the UK, or has been there, could you let me know where/how you shop?
Things I can't find:
-Powerbars, beef jerkey, and other healthy snacks
-Whey protein!!!!!!
-Lactaid milk
-Lean beef (like ground beef, top sirloin, etc.)
-Fish fillets (preferably frozen)
-100% whole wheat bread (is "wholemeal" the same as 100% whole wheat?)
-Peanut butter!!!!!!
Thanks for the help!
