Hey everyone! I am planning on starting a detox this week to cleanse my body. I am going to Salta for a week by myself to spiritually reset and I would love to have physical rejuvenation as well. (I live in Buenos Aires, so this is not as ambitious of a trip as you may think!) Ideally I would like to eat JUST fruits and vegetables during this time, but I'm not sure that is completely healthy. Is one week too long to go without fats and protein? If so, would including almonds in my plan solve this deficiency? I would really prefer not to eat animal products or grains. It's not that I believe the myth that grains are bad for me, I just have been bingeing on them this week and really feel like I need a break from the addiction! For both my mind and body. So what do you think? Almonds, no almonds? And I've heard that for a true internal detox, fasting the first day is ideal. Is that internet craziness or actually beneficial?
