Sport Haven't eaten since 10pm

Well when i say eaten i mean i had a whey protein shake right after my workout. Its quarter past midnight now, and i should be in bed getting my rest really, but should i have eaten something else tonight??

What about if i had gone to bed at 11, is it bad to eat ANYTHING that close to bed time?? Or are there anythings that you can eat close to going to bed? How about a protein shake before bed?

I am aiming to loose fat and build some muscle to become defined btw.
 
Drink a protien shake (or something similar) before you sleep.

This will help prevent catabolism while you sleep. Try to eat every 2 hours. Obviously, sleeping takes up 6-8 hours, so you'll want to compensate.
 
Not unless you mix with whipping creme or something.

All you're looking for is something that will prevent catabolism while you sleep in favor of protein synthesis.
 
Another thing that people do to prevent catabolism is either eating cottage cheese or having milk before bed because they contain casein (slow digesting proteins).
 
So i should eat one of these things or have a protein shake RIGHT before going to sleep? Just wondering what is recommended, right before, an hour before???
 
Having them right before you sleep would be fine, just don't do that for carbs, which will turn to useless fats.
