Hi !! I am here hoping for some support to get my body back to where it once was!! Or at least where I can be happy once again!!! :(

Welcome aboard Mom3 :D You have come to the right place for support and ideas :D To get the most support possible I suggest starting a diary if you haven't already :D

ready to get started!!

I weigh 256 lbs and hope to lose 156 lbs!! I am setting short term goals first . I know I need to try to get to 200 lbs first!! I just don't know where to start. I don't know what to do. I have been on WW , south beach , Dr.Phil , etc. etc. I had my 3rd child 9 months ago tomorrow . After I had her I had my gallbladder removed and almost died in the processes. Every since then I have had such a hard time losing weight. I feel like I am losing my mind. which way do I go???? :eek:
 
Hmmm. That 156 lbs loss would put you at 100 lbs... how tall are you? That seems awfully low for a goal weight. I am only concerned, not trying to discourage you by any means :D ( or did you mean a FINAL GOAL WEIGHT of 156lbs???) Any plan that stresses HEALTHY eating and exercise is the healthiest way to go. Make sure it is something you can stick with for life - not something that becomes a "diet" (such a nasty word, don't you think?;) )

Welcome! I am no expert, but has been working very well for me the last week or two is drinking a lot of water and concentrating on small portions of everything. I am not really counting calories except sort of being aware of aprox. what I am eating at the moment. That is my first step. Try it for a week or two and see if it works. I am also watching my sweets and breads a bit, but I have not cut anything out completely. I don't really feel deprived at all. I am a compulsive eater and a binger though....so I am really concentrating on my behavior right now. I wish you well. You just have to try different ways until you find something that works for you, I think.
 
Hey Mom3, I dont want to discourage you, but I think you need to set small goals first and then go from there. What is your target day? Do you have an exercise plan?
I found that tae bo worked for me in the past, it might just work for you. I have two kids, and I gained alot of weight on my second pregnancy. I was able to loose most of it sticking with tae bo. Then I gained it all back once I stop working out regularly. I started back last week, and I am not giving up this time.
 
100 pounds

I had 100 pounds to lose, too. Now down to 88. It seems huge, but it comes off one ound at a time, just like it went on. :) Good luck to you in your efforts. I suggest journaling - just writing down any and every thing you think - and let your inner thoughts lead you to your first steps. Don't turn your life upside-down all at once. Take things a step at a time, and make changes you can live with for the long term!
 
I know!!

I know I need to lose atleast 10 lbs a month. I have researched all of this and my husband is a body builder. I have since got with a personal trainer and he is starting me out on the treadmill. 20 mins a day for 3 days . He has helped me learn more what to eat and not what to eat . So far so good!! I know I can do this , because I want to see my 3 kids grow-up and be healthy adults.:)
