hate to start a new thread, but

I tried to sift through everything and find the answer that I need, and following everyone's great advice.

But I am a bit confused.

I just started using M. Creatine and Whey protein powder.

Just let me know if this is what I should be doing.

I do my workouts then and hour or two I drink my Whey Protein, 30G with Fat free Milk at the same time, I take 5G of Creatine. (bottle recommends taking 35G, but after reading threads here, taking 5G a day is all I need and the rest is a waste, correct?

Now Should I be taking this EVERYDAY? even days off? or just after workouts?

Thanks guys, I know some of you get tired of these basic questions, but I am new to this supplement stuff and just trying to do it correctly.

GA, your post workout shake should be taken within 30 minutes of working out. The sooner the better honestly though.

With the creatine, you are correct 5g a day is all you need. Most manufacturers suggest "loading" on it, but there is really no need to do that. Mix that with your post workout shake before you leave the gym (that's what I do so that I don't forget to take it). 60-90 minutes AFTER your post workout shake, then you eat your pwo meal.

Hope that helps :)

Yup, what tony said. Also, I would take a couple of grams less on non workout days, 3 grams on days you don't lift is sufficient. Get in the shake as soon as possible, this is sometimes debated, but there is a short window of opportunity that decreases 45 minutes after you finish lifting I believe, it may be a little shorter...book is somewhere, anywho.

Im with AJP, when I took creatin I stayed with 5g ed. But 3g on days off isn't going to do anything but make your tub last longer..
