New here. How doy y'all handle the late night munchies. I'm a stay at home mom (mostly) with three kids under the age of 5. I'm frequently up late since it's the only time I get to myself. How do you get controll of the late night food craving. I do pretty good during the day, but at night, I think I let stress get to me since it's just me with the kids half the time because my works. Thanks.

How are you eating for dinner? One way that worked for me was to drink water. If the munchies are still there, I'll drink a protein shake and that usually seals the deal.

Flavoured water, or other flavoured no calorie drinks. I don't really get munchies at all, so I am not sure what else there could be, but drinks would be my choice.

It might be that it is a question of keeping your mouth occupied...

Maybe sugar free gum is worth trying...

Gum wouldn't work. I have three kids inder 5. The two oldest (my 4 year old daughter and 3 year old son) can locate candy in any form like they were bloodhounds. I work out pretty hard to I think I may not be eating enough. Diner is usually 2.5 to 4 ounces of chicked meat an 200+ grams of veggies. I'm gonna add more protien shakes to my diet and aim for 1400 cal in a day and take a shake or two with me when I get called in to work (I'm PRN only)
I'm 5'5" and at 181 now, but i put on muscle pretty easy. My weight loss has slowed down.

If you eat dinner early enough, you can add more calories and not worry. Fiber is also a good hunger curber. I generally eat dinner between 4 PM and 6:30 (depending on if I want to wait for my husband to cook--he's the dinner chef) and go to bed at 11 PM. I'd also recommend finding some activity that suits you that will keep you distracted from the dreaded munchies. I generally read or watch tv--activities don't involve hyping me up so I can actually get to sleep when the time comes, but also keeps my mind on things other than food.
