ok here are the top "5" I may have to do it over if it doesn't work but we'll see.
1)- Try a new fruit or Veggie a day for the 7 days
2)- No TV for 2 days out of the 7 days no exuces you can do something better with your time
3)- Try out a new exersice routine or video or anything other than what your doing for 2 days this week
4)- NO soda's NO junkfoods and NO fast food's this week and this means those niffty 100 cal pks of junk foods like doritos cookies chips it has to whole grains,wheat,lowfat gronola,cereal,fruits veggies fat free jello fat free popsicles those would be your basic choices
5)- Do something kind or and nice for someone this week,this could be your neighbor,coworker,family,friend,spouse,neighborhood,pick up trash,recycle,ect

I voted already and I chose the one that has been killing my diet here lately.
 
ok i voted but i wanted to originally pick 2 but since you can only pick one it doesn't help. lol cause one would be somewhat hard for me and the other should be simple as long as i have enough stuff in my fridge/freezer to make it work. Oh yeah do you know if you can eat kiwi without having to cook them?
 
tammy does that mean like the 100 cal packs of wheat thins too? as they are whole wheat and baked? cause you said no 100 cal packs?
 
Hey there if ya read the 1st post it's ok to snack on whole wheat,multi grain,granola cereals ect things that are healthy and does the body some good but doritos cookies chips and ice cream doesn't do the body good even the 100 cal ones,wheat thins is fine and which ever bonus wins there will be more detail when posting it.GL
 
I like the fruit/veggie idea, but I'd prefer to just eat the RDA (2cups of fruit, 2.5cups of veggies) instead of a different one each day. I love lots of different f/v, but I think its more important to eat enough of them each day than to eat different ones. I'd even be happy to have the amount increased to 2.5cups of fruit and 3cups of veggies. Does anyone else feel this way, too?:D
 
I think either way is good for me but the whole getting in the rda amount is a great idea as i always have a hard time getting in the amount of veggies recommended. fruit isn't so bad.
 
I voted for the no junk food one.
The veggie/fruit one could be a bit difficult, incorporating a different veggie or fruit every day requires some major pre-planning. Even for me, and I am a vegetarian!!

That's why if we just make it eating the RDA, it's easier in that you don't have to eat a DIFFERENT fruit or veggie everyday. I think this is a great bonus b/c while it may not be easy for some people to do, it is do-able for everyone--and it's good for weight loss and healthy in general.
 
If we are going to make it RDA, then I am all for it!!!!
i guess i should have just read the posts also before I voted, because the poll said diff. veggie and fruit. :cool:
 
aCTUALLY YOU ALL IT SAYS "try a new fruit "or"veggie a day TRYING TO INTRODUCE NEW HEALTHY FOODS INTO OUR DAILY DIET.Example I have never tried the green melon ,broccoli(can't spell thats why I dont eat it haha)kiwi,aspargus,squash,ect so each day i would choose 1 I haven't ate before if ya run out of ones you can just eat what your eating now just eat something different each day another exapmle mon-melon-tues-swuash-weds-apple-thurs-carrots-friday-kiwi and so on besides so far the NO junkfood,drive through,soda is barely winning.
 
edit to be fastfood instead of fat food ... cant say as ive ever met any overweight food haha :D

So this no junk food or soda--is this mean we get a pt for each day we don't eat/drink it? Or do we have to be good the entire week in order to get 7pts? And is diet soda ok or naughty?? I already limit myself to one can a day of diet soda. And so a mocha latte or some other sugary fattening coffee drink would be off limits as well, right?
