well, im planning to dye my hair jet black for Homecoming (the dance).....but since i've never dyed my hair before i don't know much about it....i want to dye my hair and eyebrows....does the dye stain alot?.....the reason why i ask is because i want to dye it the day of the actual dance (which is next saturday) but i also want to go to the game....which is on friday...the thing is that i don't anyone to see my hair until the dance....did i confuse anyone???...lol

Black stains big time, however there are a few ways to over come it looking bad. First thing to do is put some kind of barrier on your skin around the hairline and ears- like vasaline. Once it has processed you can remove any residual staining but first rubbing the area with the processed color a bit before you wash it out and then after you have washed it and conditioned your hair use a toner for acne prone skin on any left over color on your skin. I hope you like black because it is really hard to get out of the hair after if you don't like it and the process is really hard on the hair. Any other questions just shoot them up I was a color tech for 10 years.
really?...damn that sucks...well.....isn't there hair dye's that are permanent and others that are not?....is there any difference?...and also can you use regular hair dye for your eyebrows?
You can use a semi permenant but if your hair is really light and you go black it will stain. Your skin will stain anywhere the dye has touched it but with the tips I gave you you can clean it up pretty good. Yes you can use reg dye for your eyebrows just be super careful not to get it in you eyes, and NEVER do your lashes. I suggest using a comb (mustache or eyebrow ones work really good) for putting the color on the brows, and a qtip will clean up any messes right away. If you can use a bowel and brush to apply the dye especially on the hair line to keep it neat, and be sure to work in small sections so the color is even. What color is your hair now? You might be able to get away with a color mousse that lasts 6 to 8 shampoos. Let me know what your color is now and I can help you decide what to do. Is this for Halloween? or something like that?
ummm my hair is not light...it's pretty dark....by the way im a guy....it's for a school dance....and the theme of it....is Pirates of the Carribean..so that's why i want my hair and eyesbrows kind of dark.....to go with the whole theme...i know it may sound weird but...yea...
ive dyed my hair every color and never had a problem. its usually easier to have someone help you but not needed. wear ****ty clothes that you dont care about while doing it (or do it naked i guess) and if you get any on your skin, just wash it right away. might stain for a day or two so be careful especially since you want to dye it the day of the dance, you prob dont want it all over your skin. lol. i just buy herbal essence at any drug store for about $10. im not sure if you have long hair or not tho so i cant tell you how long it will be in your hair. but, technically no dye is "permanent" because hair grows and eventually we get haircuts (i hope). but when i wanted to keep wearing a dye in my hair, i dyed it every 1-2 months. so that means for you, it could be gone in less than a month, especially shorter hair. and like others have said, you can use the same dye on your eyebrows. have fun!

Get a color mousse then. Something like color flirt, it washes out in about 8 washings. I knew you were a guy but really the color your hair is naturally has a huge effect on how it will turn out and how long a temp color will last. using a color mousse anything you get on your skin should come off pretty easy. what about if i buy a cheap kind of dye.??..i mean i only want it for that one day...i don't really care about how long it last.....i just want it for that day..do you think buying a cheap dye will be more simple to come off if i would get it on my skin?....
uuummm....what's a color mousse?...never heard of it.....to tell you the thruth im only worry about my eyebrows....but with the tips you gave me, i think im going to be Ok....
yeah cheaper than $10 most likely means it wouldnt last long. just go to a store and look at what they say. theres some for like $4-5 and are temporary, whereas the kind i bought was said to be permanent.
yea i probably don't.....there black..so....idk....im undecided....i don't want to do something stupid and end up not going to the dance because i dyed my face......lol....
ya if you have black eyebrows or even dark brown, you are good to go.
lol yes good thing. one time i dyed my hair blonde and still had brown eyebrows lol but didnt look that bad. all depends. i hope it turns out good for you. you should post a pic of it after! hehe
