My 17yo son, the one with the 3.9 GPA and 4 AP classes, including AP calculus, was prepping for the SAT again (he scored 1280 the first time, but wants to get 1350) and asked me to answer a question in his book that he couldn't answer. I nailed it in 10 seconds!

Old dudes rock!

Is that score in old SAT language or new SAT language? :p I'm glad my year got to take the old SAT's, the new ones are sucky in my opinion. And the new scoring system is beyond my fathoming. All I know is, my sister thought she got a higher score than me... until she realized what the new total is actually out of. Then she cried a little :D

That is the score of the first two sections. He got 600 something on the third section. The new section is still not widely accepted and most colleges still look at only the first two sections.

A 1280 score for all 3 parts would be low.

So yeah, old SAT language, I know a lot of people do still ignore that written silliness, that's why I asked. It seemed like it must be an old SAT language score (with a GPA like that! wow). Wish him good luck on those! My school made us take the SAT's like five times, it suuucked. I ended up with a 1320 woot woot! :D My GPA however.... less stellar... I will therefore not share it here.... lol.
