Motivation
Today is my independence day. No longer shall I be controled by food and lack of exercise. I claim my life back before it claims me. It's a long haul, but if its done in short steps without huge rewards it will be great. It can only get better from here.

I've started to plan out an excersize program.
Pushups
Situps
Jumpin Jacks
Brisk Walk until i (hopefully) start running prob in 6 months

Anyone have any other ideas on what to do? I unfortunatly do not have access to a weight room currently, hopefully soon...

Sounds like you've got the right idea so far! If anything, I would suggest you get more specific - how much and how often are you going to do these exercise? The most common advice I see on these boards is to do cardio as often as possible and then alternate whatever you are doing for muscle building.

Also, what is your eating plan like? There are lots of different ways to eat healthy, some are super easy to do but aren't always as accurate, and others that will help you get the perfect balance of what to eat, but half your time is spen number-crunching your food!

The reason I suggest getting specific is that, in my experience anyways, the less room you have to make up reasons to not exercise or to eat something unhealthy, the harder it is to justify it to yourself. Maybe your specific diet is just making a list of 'bad' foods to avoid, or to say you have so many calories a day that you can work with. Whatever works for you.

The reason that I didn't put any real numbers down is because i don't know how many im going to be able to do. Everything will be done 5 times a week except walking which will be done 7 times a week until i can get into a gym for weight lifting.

Food is a big one. I have an extremely bad habbit of eating before going to bed. It was probably the sole reason for me gaining 100 lbs+ in 3 years. Is counting calories good? When I worked out in highschool i just beefed up my protein intake.

Weight watchers is the same basic principle of counting calories, so its a pretty good one. Maybe you should set a 'bed time' for your eating, say, nothing after 8pm?

Don't think of it as a diet. Think of it as a new way of eating. Your actually just teaching yourself how to re-eat agian. Its hard at first. I found out that you should just throw out EVERYTHING in your house that is the wrong kind of fat. Candy, cookies, chips, etc. And stock up on the good stuff. If you really need choc or peanut butter, I really like the south beach diet protein cereal bars. They good for you and taste good. Make sure you take a vitamin as well. I've been taking Propolene also and have lost 12 pounds in one month. I haven't been this happy for 9mths when my daughter was born!! Don't give up even if it gets hard. The risk is worth the reward.

First day back in the gym in 3 years. Wow, this was a true wake up. I couldn't do crap. Walking for an hour was great though. One thing I'm EXTREMELY happy about is my weigh in... I thought I would be at least 350.... Got on the scale and kept sliding the bar to the left........ 298!!!!! Now, to get it off.

Hey, so that's like 50 lbs lost before you even started trying, right? ;)

Keep us updated on your progress, and don't worry, I have a hard time with the hard cardio too, it gets easier as you do it more though!
