Sport Grocie Shopping Tonight

Sport Fitness
Ok so I'm going grocie shopping tonight with my mother (I'm 14 by the way) and as of this upcoming Saterday I'm starting a diet/work out plan for the rest of the summer.... My question is what foods are best for when cutting weight and what are best for helping musscles and bones.... I have both weak musscles and bones (so say the docters) and am lactose-intolorant (Spelling?) but I do have lactose free milk which I can drink....

Any ideas are welcomed.

Hi TSD girl! You might want to ask for:

Tuna (water packed)
Cottage cheese-low fat
salmon
Chicken
Turkey meats
whole wheat bread
veggies/fruits
lot's of water
Eggs (eat the whites mostly)

Try to stay away from:

chips
cookies
sodas

Good luck, remember if you're trying to lose weight in a healthy manner it's a balance between good foods and a little bit of excercise. Good luck :)

I can't have eggs or fish for that matter. I don't know why I can't have fish it just makes me really sick.... I have about half a million health problems.

because you are lactose intolorant you may want to stay away from yogurt or cottage cheese. If you have kind of a difficult system (which i do ha) then try and get high fiber products or products that help your digestive system. And also fiber is kind of a free calorie so if something has 12 carbs but 5 are of fiber then only 7 of those carbs are going to really impact your system.

High Fiber carbs-

Oatmeal
Whole grains
All bran
High fiber fruits (blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, figs)
Beans/peas
spinach cooked

Good fats-
Cashews-have a suprising amount of fiber
Nuts and natural peanut butter

Lean protien-
Chicken
Fresh turkey (also if looking for a little change up/cheat that isn't so bad for you then turkey is a great way to go. You can get turkey anything really from bacon to pepperoni. Again go easy but its a healthier way to get some foods you may desire)
96% LEAN ground beef
flank steak
Pure Whey (Pure whey has less than 1% lactose in it so can be a great protein source for you)

Some other items you might want to add-
Fiber Sure-Its a powder fiber additive, you can stir some in just about anything and unlike most things that say you can't taste it, you really can't. It has 5 grams of fiber per serving.

Green tea/white tea-There is such a great selection of these now and they are full of antioxidents and help promote a healthy metabolism. If sensitive to caffefine however then select a non caffiene version of these products.
