My University have just demolished the old gym and replaced it with a new one.
I used to like the old gym because although it was smelly and dirty I found that somehow helped.
It felt like something out of Rocky; no clinical white wash resistance machines or fangled cardio machines, just big sweaty bastards really trying to push it, there to workout and nothing else.
Now it's like a meat market. Always packed, much smaller, high tech machines... and the usual people who join but never go. The most annoying new machine is the one that does the Pecs; works the arms rather than isolating the pecs.
Anyone feel the same?
