i know a lot of people may struggle to hold ther deadlift even with a mixed grip and that this is usually the weakpoint. but my grip far outstrips my pulling strength, i can hold over 600pds double overhand without a hook grip and no chalk.(for a very short time) but my max deadliftis 380pds and rack pull below knee 407pds. this is my best lift aswell! i have focused more on grip the last few months than pulling because it needed improving but i feel the disparity is a bit much.
my weight is around 130pds at 5'61/2 deadlift max was done at 125pds
whats everyone elses grip like compared to their deadlift?

I've never focused specifically on grip training. I've found as my strength increased in the various pulling movements, so did my grip, naturally.

I know it doesn't work like that for everyone... I suppose I'm fortunate.

You have a 3x deadlift coefficient? Holy **** that's impressive

My grip has always been my limiting factor, I've found that training with a towel to grip instead of the bar has helped me a lot too

Do you work with your hands or something? a 600lbs grip on a 130lb man is pretty unusual even for a Scotsman

no i dont have a manuel job hopefully i will do something like personal training or the like as training is my passion although im not always good with people.
i do grip training before pulling then use alternate grip with a rope that acts kind of like straps for pulling to give my grip as much recovery as possible.
