Grindhouse

This movie probably isn't for everyone, but I loved it so much that for the last 20 or so hours, it's all I could think about.

THIS. MOVIE. ROCKED.

If you're. Thinking. Of skipping. This. Movie. DON'T.

When Tarantino and Rodriguez team up, a bad ass movie is always the result.

I'm gonna catch it tomorrow.

I never get to go see any movies:( . Hell, im still trying to go see 300!

Tarantino rules, His Kill Bill series first got me interested in his movies. And that other guy, he directed Sin City and 300 right?

Yeah, Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction are some of my favorite movies of all time.

I think Rodriguez directed Sin City, I'm not sure on 300.

Damn, the gf and I were gonna see it, but being over 3 hours, we just didn't have time. I'll be sure to check it out though!

no, Rodriguez did not direct 300, but:
Desperado
From dusk till dawn (with tarantino)
Spy kids series (and other kids movies)
Sin City

among others...

Four Rooms and Reservoir Dogs - genius

Pulp Fiction, Dusk till Dawn, Jackie Brown = loved

Kill Bill = I believe Quentin must have been on a bad acid trip while reading too many comic books

Oh damnit, that's what I keep forgetting to watch, Reservior Dogs.

...I recall us butting heads on the Kill Bill subject, lmao

KILL BILL IS AWESOME

Im totally with deschain on this one. I went and saw the first Kill Bill in the theatres and didn't like it at all, so I didnt see the 2nd one til it was on TBS. It was better than the first, but still not his best work.

Deschain. . .that isn't like Roland Deschain is it?!

Yes it is, well, except that I'm a girl.

You are the first person to put that together.

If you're a girl, then we should call you Susannah Dean of New York! :) Or maybe you would prefer Odetta. . .or dare I say Detta.

I don't want to go off topic, but great freakin books! One of the best series I've ever read. Whatd you think about the ending? I loved it personally. Maybe I should start new thread cause I could talk about this for hours.

****Apology for being off topic****

I just needed to say that I have not finished them all. I started them in the 90s, got to Wizard and Glass, put them down. Then, I re-read up to that point and continued to Susannah's Song, which is where I was when I put them down again (for no good reason). I intend on getting back in to finish them all soon though. So, basically, please, no spoilers. :) (Most days I probably resemble Detta more:p, at least in the bitchiness)

Freaking LOVED grindhouse. I live in Austin and can see the Austin Chili Parlor (where Death Proof was filmed) from my office window.

If you like Rodriquez you will recognize a lot of the actors in this movie from his other movies.

Also, how'd you like that "Machete" coming attraction. Holy Cannoli, that was great. My husband kept saying "They HAVE to make that movie."

The Machete tag ling "They f***ed with the wrong Mexican" Freakin' great!

Hahahahha! Yeah, I think they might release more Machete footage, as they shot a lot. The other trailers like Thanksgiving were shot specifically for the short trailers, while they planned to do more with Machete.

"WHERE ARE MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER?"

I live in Austin

Want to get together sometime :p?
