Hello all,

I am new here (obviously :p) and I am looking for support in my quest to loose weight. I am currently 260-270 ish and Im looking to be 190-180ish. I have a huge belly, some face fat, big butt and the dreaded man boobs. Gah!

Anyway, I started working out about 2 weeks ago. I do 30 minutes of intervals on an eliptical walking maching. I go at a decent pace and I do about 4-5 kms. I do 40 situps, 20 push ups and I have 15 lbs weights where I do 20 curls and 20 presses with them. I do this workout everyday. I might start doing the cardio twice a day now.

Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions to add to this routine? I am trying to loose a good amount of weight with fast results. I dont want to take any pills or shakes, I want to eat real food ;)

Morning I have a small bowl of cereal with a banana. At lunch I usually make a sandwhich. Dinner I usually make an asian style stirfry, or a small steak and salad. I usually snack a few times a day also. (nuts or dried fruit usually) And once a week I treat myself to ice cream or pie or Both :)

Does anyone think this is a decent way to eat? I try to keep it healthy and I dont like to eliminate food groups (unless chips is a food group haha)

My biggest problem was eating. I always ate 5 big meals a day and now Im eating about 3 small ones with snacks. I love eating healthy food so that is one thing that is not difficult for me. I just used to eat way too much.

Wow this post is long, time to stop. Any advice is much appreciated and I have a feeling I will be visiting these boards everyday :D
 
hey robre sounds like you already have a plan. The weight should be falling off any day now.....
 
I wish I knew if the weight is falling off, I dont have a scale lol. Im sure I lost something already, but no idea how much. I visit the folks tomorrow and they have one so I'll weight myself then.
 
yea without a scale its kinda hard to judge. you can go by how your clothes fit but its not the same as watching the numbers fall.... dont forget if your working out and building muscle the numbers may go up and down abit...

You sound exactly like me! It sounds like you are on the right track, just keep at what you are doing (it's been working for me :) ) Just don't give up no matter what. Don't let a bad day or one missed day of exercise get you down, just go right back at it.

Keep track of what you are eating and keep a journal, is my best advice. It seems to me that when you have to write it down and see it. It becomes more real.
