green tea and metabolism

i hear a lot of people saying green tea is very good in increasing and maintaining metabolism. To receive these benefits, would i need to drink it regularly throughout the day?

I'm very sensative to caffeine and taking it after 5:00 might cause me to lose some sleep.
 
There is no caffiene in green tea so, don't worry about that.

Personally, I only drink one or two cups a day and the rest of the time I drink water (which also helps to boost your metabolism.)
