I am bored and thinking about how much I want to travel, anywhere and everywhere to see different places- nothing specific, just everything in general. Do you guys have any place you love to go, or would love to visit ( U.S or not!)

Any pictures, information, or personal experience you have.. post it! :D

I'd love to visit Scotland. My cousin went there about 5 years ago and actually found the remants of my family's "ancestral castle" (many generations removed, obviously) which was, at that time, not much more than 3 or 4 big blocks of stone. Lots of places I'd like to go that I've never been. All over Europe, for example, and parts of Asia. Places I do actually go that I enjoy are New Orleans (pretty often), San Francisco (once every couple of years), and the mountains of East Tennessee (I have family there). They are all wonderful places to visit and each unique in their own way.

Barcelona

My favorite city in the world to visit is Barcelona, Spain. I've probably spent around two weeks there and still have not seen everything the city has to offer. I've been to most of the major cities in western Europe and a large portion of those in the US, but none of them have the same atmosphere. Any country that likes to collectively take a two hour nap in the middle of the day is alright by me. :D

I would love to visit Spain, England, India. A place I always recommend to others is Tokyo. It is an amazing city which has something for everyone and is always changing and has almost no crime.

I would love to visit Japan and China, but I think I'd need to go on a tour. I would think it'd be a culture shock.

I need to visit America before i die. Trouble is that i want to visit so many places there...so i've decided that for my honeymoon, i'm going to have a roadtrip everywhere i want to see around America. Classy...and realistic... :p

I've been all over Western Europe, to parts of Eastern Europe, to parts of North Africa, and to all of the continental US states.

My five favorite countries are as follows: Austria, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, and Croatia.

Croatia has some of the most lovely and beautiful Mediterranean beaches I've ever seen. It's like Greece, but not. White hills, crystal, dark blue water, lush small islands off the coast. It can be a bit pricey to get there, but once you're there it's not that expensive. Things are changing quickly, as Croatia is transitioning to the Euro.

Switzerland and Austria: The Alps. Plane and simple. Breathtaking. Not to mention, both countries are incredibly safe. Salzberg (Austria) is especially awesome. For some reason I hold a special place in my heart for Salzberg.

Germany, especially Berlin, is amazing. The whole city is under construction because they are still "rebuilding." Visit East Berlin and West Berlin to see what's left of the difference between the two sides. I love Southeast Germany or Bavaria. No, you don't have to eat Bavarian cream pies while you're there. The castles in Germany on the Rhine River are really beautiful and amazing.

Ireland: The countryside is beautiful and the people are incredibly hospitable. You can go on a really cool bike ride along the the west coast. Start and Galway and end up wherever. The castles in Ireland are awesome too. Ireland's expensive though, even by European standards.

I spent a good part of this past summer in Spain and Morocco, so I can tell you plenty about those places too, though I don't think I'd ever return to either. Maybe I'd go to back to San Sebastian (Spain), but that's it. Morocco was f-ing wild. The highlight of that trip was traveling across the Atlas Mountains into the Sahara and then taking a camel ride deep into the desert. We slept outside, under the stars in a vast expanse of sand dunes. It was like a different world, a universe filled with wave after rolling wave of nothing but sand dunes. Fun times were had, but I've no desire to return to Morocco.

I can send you pictures if you want, but posting them might be a problem because I don't know how to do that since the pictures aren't hosted anywhere.

Chances are, if a country in Europe interests you, I've been there. Let me know if you want pictures or info.

Block Island, Rhode Island. Only can get there by ferry. Only the locals have cars. Very homey, great beaches, horseback riding, bike rentals, and the worlds BEST hot fudge. EVER. no doubt about it.

Then I'd have to say Vitoria Spain. Very nice place. Not a huge city like Barcelona, (which was waaaay too crowded for my tastes) and the people are rather nice.
