:) HI,I am a newbie!I am 36yrs old,from australia,married,2kids 2yr old girl and 4yr old boy,2 step kids,13yr old girl and 15yr old boy!
My husband is 43yrs old, truck driver.
I am 5'8",large frame,weigh about 232lbs[105kgs],havent weighed for a while[too scared!],do aerobics 5 days a week.
I love bread[my downfall]and chocolate/chips/mc donalds!I am a bad girl when it comes to food! But when I am on a diet I am good for about a month or two then I fall off the wagon again!
My husband is a truck driver, and works long hours,so I look after my kids most of the time.My little boy starts school next year in 2nd term.
I love horses, just like april135,I know her from another site!I still have my old horse, she is 25yrs old this year and retired to the paddock.Still in good health thou!I used to do pony club and show jumping/eventing with her!
I also like star trek,YES I am a nerdy/weird trekkie! But its not what I always talk about, only to those like minded anyway.Would love to go to Las Vegas one day to the star trek experience hotel!
I also like Guns n roses,I know they are no longer together but Ive loved them since the eighties.Especially Axl Rose!I saw a recent picture of him,he looks weird, had a heap of plastic surgery,YUK!
Love talking about health issues,I love doing aerobics, but at my weight its not very comfortable. But I hope to change that,I will find the right balance between food-exercise one day!
I dont work but will go back to work when the kids are both at school. We do ok on my husbands wage, the family assisance money from the government really helps.I dont agree with putting kids in child care for 40 plus hrs a week. Not even part time a couple days. One day or a few hours to go shopping is enough, otherwise who would be raising my kids, them or me!
Thats me,glad to have found this site, thanks april!BYE!

Hi! NIce to have you! THats nice of April to send you our way!

Looks like you've got a good positive attitude and thats really important when loosing weight!

I also stay home to raise my 2 kids, 7 and 2. I HATE daycare! I put my oldest in a daycare when she was 2. It lasted a week and I pulled her out, I hated putting her in that dump.

ANYWAYS...lol, glad to have ya here and let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Magenta! Glad you finally made it. You know I didn't realize your husband was a truck driver too! We need to start a club for that! You, Me, ChristinanVA, and there's probably others too! Anyway, I'm really glad to see you here. I've missed you alot, but couldn't stand the constant drug obsession over there! I'm also really glad you've decided to take charge and stop trying to find the easy fix. Start a diary! I'll check in with you alot!:D
Oh by the way, April really is my name. I used the name Zoey as a remembrance of my daughter. That was her name.
Hey, I just noticed something. You've been here before. Your post shows joined date July 2005! Hmmm, what other secrets are you keeping?!

Hello Magenta! I'm so glad you found this site! Every one here is so supportive and they have helped me so much!! My husband is also a truck driver (so is Sez) and is gone for a week or so at a time! You mentioned that you like chocolate ..before I started dieting there wasn't a day that went by that i didn't eat chocolate.. especially Peanut Butter Cups.. Recently I bought the Viactiv multi-vitamin chews and one a day really helps out against my craving with chocolate!! I look forward to chatting with you! Have a great day!

G'day and welcome to the forum from another aussie trekkie

Cheers

THANKS GUYS{APRIL}I just know that I will love it here!YES April I joined this site back in july, but didnt post anything, but checked it out regularly. The before and after photos are great.I will post one soon too!
Glad there is an aussie trekkie in here HIIII!!!!Resistance is futile when I crave chocolate[chocodate]is what my daughter calls it!
I have read that eating dark chocolate, lots more cocoa, stops you from eating too much!As soon as I go out shopping or get time by myself without the kids,I 'REWARD' myself with a chocolate bar or ice cream etc!!!!
I recognise that I do it as a reward thing,my break time away from the kids, but cant break the cycle!
School holidays are coming up soon,my 2 step kids will be staying with us for 3 or 4 weeks!HHHEEELLLPPP!!!
They are ok,they actually help keep the little ones amused, but there will be lots more cooking/cleaning/washing etc.
The government run aerobics classes will stop too, have to try to do it at home, got a few on dvd!
I thought I told everyone at the other forum that michael is a truck driver?
He doesnt drive the semi's but the next one down, huge truck thou.He only works inside the state, country runs too,but comes home every night. He works long hours,4.00am in the morning till sometimes 10 or 11pm at night!THANKS GIRLS I am going to love it here I know!BYE.

Welcome to the forum Magenta. I am so glad you decided to join us here. Any friend of April is a friend of mine. I look forward to reading your posts!!

Thanks girls[guys?],had a stressful day!Went to a restaurant with my aerobics class/instructor for xmas breakup.Had to take my 2 little ones with me!Did they run a muk or what!Managed to get them to sit down for 10minutes to eat their lunch, but after that, around and around the room they ran, giggling wrestling on the ground making heaps of noise.Despite me constantly warning them of a smack[spanking].
I had to leave early, they were disturbing the other dinners! How embarracing,oh well, gave them both a smack on the butt as soon as I got outside!Damn, wish I was a rich celebrity and had a nanny at my beck and call.A chef well educated in the art of cooking low fat meals would be nice too!
Daydreaming then,all part of being a mum I suppose.I had a battered fish n chips,naughty me!Had a piece of cake too,well xmas time!
No excuse I know, but my nerves were frazled and the chocolate cake tasted good!
Had a healthy tea, salad and grilled ham steaks.:)

Welcome to finally *posting* in the forum! ;)

I was lucky enough to raise my kids at home too, and now that they're 20 & 22, I can see what a difference it made. You go girl!
