How do you guys rate these as a snack?

Are they ok every day or maybe just once or twice a week? :confused4:

Thanks

Anyone?????????

well what are your goals? If you want to be really lean, then no, they are not acceptable, too much sugar and crappy carbs in most of them

Most things in moderation are OK, why are you chosing the graola bars? if its for enjoyment then fine, I'd say stick with it they wont harm you (as long as your only having one or two a week like you say) but don't fall under any false claims that they will enhance your energy levels (they may give you a quick sugar boost/rush but it will be followed by a blood sugar drop and rapid appetite call from your stomach!) but if you like the way they taste, theres no reason why they can't be had as a treat. Thats my opinion anyway!

Personally for me? I'd rather stick to something that has more nutrition as I prefer this over treats- treats don't work for me: one is never enough, none is just better in all ways where my body is concerned! I have things like plain yogurt or fresh meat as my after gym snacks or if I'm in a hurry a peice of fruit- but then I really enjoy eating fruit, if granola bars are what do it for you, go for it.

Not very good. Unless they are homemade and you know exactly what is in it.

Read the ingredient list...If it is a mile long DON'T eat it. It is most likely filled with proccessed junk.

Live by this quote: "If you CAN'T hunt it, fish it, pick it from a tree, bush or the ground, DON'T eat it."

I agree with the above comments, however I eat two granola bars per day. They are 150 calories each, and they make a 300 calorie afternoon snack for me.

I would like to find a substitute for the granola bars for my afternoon snack.

But to your question, I don't see a problem with them if your goal is general health and fitness. I am pretty healthy and fit (good BMI, good body fat pct), and have been eating granola bars for years.
