I am trying to work through the nutrition of weight loss. I am getting lost with all the good carbs vs. bad carbs, good fats vs. bad fats, good sugars vs. bad. Are there any good online charts that break this out?
Thanks

Carbs -
Processed = bad. Breads, pasta, rice etc. Added sugar, corn syrup, honey etc.

Unprocesssed = good. Vegetables, beans, lentils etc.

Of course, this is a scale and you don't have to cut out 100% of all 'bad' foods. I eat rice, I eat things that have had sugar added, or honey or maple or... whatever, just less of it.

Fats -

Good = unsaturated. Olive oil, anything that's liquid at room temperature.
Bad = trans fats. hydrogenated anything.
Maybe bad = saturated fats. Butter, cream, meat fat etc. May or may not be bad, but many people say to avoid. I personally try to avoid processed meats rather than saturated fat.

Beyond this and you start getting into all of the arguments. Are fruits good or bad, is agave great or evil. Whole grains vs... whatever.

Eat less refined/processed carbs, more veggies, avoid trans-fats and get plenty of unsaturated fats and you should be ok.
