Good sports stores in the US

Hey guys,

I am heading to the US for 6 weeks and with the Aussie dollar being so strong against the US I want to pick up some cheap sports gear i.e. runners, singlets etc...

Can you recommend any good value stores? I am aware of store such as Kmart, Wallmart etc but am unfamiliar with anything else.

Also, what about supplement suppliers? I want to grab some whey for my trip too. I only have massive tubs at home and dont particularly want to carry that with me the whole time.

I will be visiting the main cities of L.A., San Fran, Boston and New York amongst others.

The only chain around me is ****'s Sporting Goods. Other than that try mom and pop places....oh jeez, It bleeped out D ick's, this is getting ridiculous
