I'm a snacker. I have little ones at home, so I'm constantly serving meals and snacks it seems. What are some easy, healthy snacks?

apples
bananas
string cheese
peanut butter (1 serving!)
veggies and hummus
veggies and yogurt dip

beef jerky (watch the amount and sodium)
Almonds, walnute (unsalted)
Carrots
celery
various cheeses (watch amounts)
Most of what Kara said (I am not a PB fan so I skip that one)
greek yogurt

I snack on 2 apples and 5 wholemeal crackers daily. sometimes I add a bit of low-fat mayo on my crackers. Although they say that apples can increase your hunger (it doesn't for me, but I don't eat it on an empty stomach), so try oranges, apricots, peaches, etc.

Sometimes (but very rare), I have a couple of pieces of sugar-free chewing gum a day.

I used to have tonnes of fruit around the house (or flat!) to munch on, but then I found I tend to overeat fruit very very easily, I chain eat apples easily can do this by the dozen!

So I put a ban on all fruit before I have done a heavy gym workout (I can still eat fruit, I just have to earn it first) and instead am only allowed to eat protein until then. Being that I am picky about what protein I do allow myself, its often protein bars which I think taste disgusting (they are chocolate orange flavored and I feel sick after one or two at the most!) I then end up not over eating and not wanting to eat anymore as I know the only oter option will make me feel sick!

Night times are a big problem for me though as I am allowed to eat fruit and its a mindfield not to eat everything in the house!

And I still continue to get bigger..... lost 3 pairs of trousers this last month...

Eating shouldn't be a consequence or something that you need to earn. Especially fruit! Talk about a guilt-free snack. Perhaps you could slow down while you eat, so your body realizes it is being fed. Alternatively, you could take a bite of food, and drink a sip of water. But if you are still hungry afterwards, its your body telling you it needs fuel!

And there are a TON of better protein sources (especially if you don't enjoy the food)! Chicken, eggs....just google protein and you can find something that you like.

I try not to stack too much during the day and stick to my regular 5-6 meals. This way im never really hungry when im eating every 3-4 hours. If i do get hungry inbetween a meal i will have a 500ml glass of water and diet cordial. This fills me up until the next meal and has zero calories.

If you snack its hard to really track your calories and a few snacks here and there every day can be the cause a few extra pounds per month.

try taking peanut butter and mixing it with pumpkin puree. about half and half is good to try and the experiment with dif ratios. when you mix it half and half you can hardly taste the pumpkin. this can be used on PB&J and it ads fiber and cuts calories. i like 3/4 pumpkin to 1/4 peanut butter with a little pumpkin spice and brown sugar mixed in and put on toast.

My favorite snack lately is a Granny Smith apple with peanut butter (1 serving!). Winds up at about 250 calories, but there's the vitamins and minerals in the apple and the protein and healthy fat in the peanut butter. And if you get the all natural pb, you won't have the added sugar. I think the peanut flavor cuts the tartness of the apple nicely.

I like to snack too. I find that this is usually because I just need to chew on something, rather than being hungry. Spinach is a great snack for me because it is great to crunch on. I also like almonds, and organic light-butter popcorn.
