Good plan for me or not?

Hey, I haven't been on here in awhile ( I just started posting again ), so to introduce myself, My name is Meaghan & I'm 16 years old & 187 pounds. My exercise plan starting tomorrow is:
30 minutes on the treadmill ( walking )
100 jumping jacks [ I do them in sets of 50, so it shouldn't be that hard ]
& 20 crunches

I was wondering if this seems like a good exercise plan, and if it will be affective or not...I'd love any advice or tips you have =]

Also, does anyone know of a way to keep busy on the treadmill? The only thing I can do on it is read articles in magazines. The tv just doesn't work for me =/ any other suggestions?

Have you tried listening to music?
 
I like fast music or motivational tapes. Or try walking aroudn the neighborhood. Walking outside is alot less boring.
 
I tend to meander if I walk around the neighborhood...I need something that makes me walk fast.
