Sport Good Breakfast Or Not?

Sport Fitness
Hey people! I am looking to drop about 25 pounds and I was wondering if the following breakfast is a good one for protein?

By the way, take note that I am a vegetarian (do not eat beef, meat, fish, chicken, or whole eggs - and by whole eggs, I don't mean eggs that you find in a cookie or cake).

I do not drink protein shakes and never will, sorry. But, my dad once overdosed on them and it damaged his body so I am not taking any drinks or supplements. All my protein is from food/drinks.

Anyway, here is my breakfast (I don't each much because I am never hungry in the morning - if I force food down my throat, then I end of puking it out):

2 bars of Natural Valley Granola Bars
1 cup of 1% milk

About 20-30 minutes after this, I go for a bike ride outside (do some cardio, get my metabolism going, and most importantly, get some morning fresh air).

So, what do you guys think of my morning breakfast/workout?

i love those nature valley bars. but they are only 16g whole grains out of...29? it has sugar in them too. they are ok once in a while.

have oatmeal instead. it will do you much better. and you need more protein. the milk is your only protein sourse:8g. try to get 20 at least. you can throw in more milk if you want. if you wont eat egss...drink more milk lol sucks to be vegetarian IMO

^^^ Well, actually the granola bars have protein and in them and they are practically made of oats. Also, I put most of my sugars throughout the day in my breakfast. The sugars also give me a lot of energy for the bike ride.

yes they are ok. soy protein(4g) are in the bars :/
i say you eat both oatmeal and the bars on different days if you insist on keeping the bars. drink a lot of milk too :)

Oatmeal (steel cut oats or old-fashioned oats) + raisins or a banana is a much more natural breakfast.

Natural vs processed? Natural for the win...

Have some fat free cottage cheese then to up the protein count.
