I chance about this site when i was searching for more information on Dr Cohen's Diet. It's encouraging to see so many on the diet. Actually, i only heard about this diet less than a month ago. Even though i have already signed up (I have taken the blood test, waiting for the meal plan) i still have some doubts whether it will work for me.

I was on this diet where i'm just drinking the supplement yet i didn't lose any weight so i'm thinking how is it possible to lose weight when you are still eating. But ya, for health seek, i'm willing to go through this program and hopefully it will help me to shed these unwanted kilos.

Gonnaloseit- You will lose it. I, too, had my doubts but am now a firm believer! It worked for me! I should be elsewhere so will catch up soon, cheers, Cate

I think we've all had our doubts, but it does work. Plus people keep it off using the tools you learn.

My advice, don't be upset if you don't lose a TON your first month.

I only lost 10 lbs, but I lost 22.5 TOTAL body inches!!

HI Cate, Chelle and CohenInAZ,

thank you for your encouragement. The personnel from Cohen called yesterday and said my meal plan is ready for me so i will be dropping in next week to pick it up but likely will not start until the end of the week of my company's christmas party. But yes, will keep you all informed of my progress.

P/S: CohenInAZ, it's really amazing you lost so much inches in just the first month!

Danka...

It was TOTAL body... so it was a lot but still 10 from the "core areas"

I measure:

Arms
Bust
Under Bust
Natural Waist
Belly Button
Hips
Thighs

Dear all

i received by eating plan yesterday and it really takes some getting use to. I'm still trying to digest looking at the amount of food i get to eat for each meal. I'm wondering how i will get through from one meal to the next without fainting. Still, i will give my best and start my plan this coming Sunday. :)

Have like ALL salad for your veggies at first... It is a TON of salad!

I did all fresh spinach when I first started and it was seriously 2 sandwhich bags of spinach!!!!!

Use your apples and crackers...

I try to eat ever 2-3 hours..

So..

Meal 1 9am
Apple 11am
Meal 2 2pm
Apple 4 pm
Meal 3 8pm

That leaves me with 6 crackers and another fruit either before 9am or after dinner.

Becareful with apples, I can eat them without any issue, but they make some people hungry.

Sometimes I have apples with Crackers, but I usually have them as "backup"

Plus drink water whenever you feel hungry. Its been proven that we think we're hungry when we are actually thirsty.

Dont be discouraged...

GonnaLoseIt.....
I am sure by the time you read my post you will be well into your eating plan...They are small meals but after a couple of days you dont feel hungry.. it truly is amazing how the program works..I have found that if i compromise my meal i feel hungry.. Cant wait to read your next post.. Remember to drink your water...it does help with the hunger... dont be discouraged by anything including yourself .. if you deviate, just move on forgive yourself and continue along your program... ...

Hi CohenInAZ and Fifty2drop

thank you for your encouragement.

I'm into Day 3 of the program and as predicted, i was going hungry between meals. Day 1 was the worst, i ate when i got hungry so by the time i realised it, i was out of apples and crackers for the day so i could only go on water. Day 2 and 3 are much better as i learnt to keep my eating time to once every 2-3hrs. The hunger is not that bad today as well and finishing all 3 litres of water does not seem that difficult.

I'm not sure whether it was my brain going spacey from the small portion of food but when i put on my working pants, i felt them to be loose around the thighs. :blush5: But my mum said it's probably because i had been down with flu for the past 2 weeks and had not been eating well, that's all.

Anyways... i'm looking forward to the end of the week to measure myself. i do hope there will be significant changes.

Oh, i was surprise when i read you have a ton of vegetables! Then i realise it's because i cooked mine so they really shrink a fair bit. And also how much you are allocated for each meal. I only get 115g of vegetable maximum each time. Well, think i will try the salad instead of cooking them, save the time and trouble too.

3rd Week

Finally i'm onto the third week of the program, Christmas is next week, i hope i can pass it safely without succumbing to temptations around me. Last Sunday's Christmas party was not as successful as i thought. I planned on eating fruits and chicken breast and vegetable that i'm allowed. It ended up with me eating fruits i thought i was allowed but when i went home to double-checked, i was so wrong! And then there was not chicken breast, all of them were thigh meat but still i ate them as i thought i should not skip meal. The rest of the protein was fried so i steer clear of them and coming to vegetables, there weren't even salad available and those on the buffet table were those i'm not allowed so in the end i didn't touch the vegetables. Sigh.

Tomorrow my office is having a wine and cheese session and it's like only 10 of us, so it will be obvious if i'm not taking anything. Everytime such sessions come along, i just fry my brains out coming up with excuses of not eating anything.

To be sucsessful on this diet and eating with pothers, you need to get good at the fine art of packing your meal.

Take your cheese allotment and veggie allotment with you to the session, or simply don't eat. WHy should they care if you are not eating? Its time to not let the peer pressure get to you.

I've gone to a few parties and events, and always just take my own food. Always have apples and a cracker with you in your bag.

Plan your day so maybe you eat just before the session, and you simply don't eat because your stuffed from lunch.

Planning is key. Tuna and Cheese are the two easisest meals to take with you. Cauliflower (fresh) can be had raw and its still yummy.

Bring back up food so you are never stuck, as there is nothing worse than feeling stuck, or thinking your staying on plan and then finding out you deviated on accident... this is where the fine art of lunch packing saves the day!

4th Week

I'm glad to report the Wine and Cheese went off smoothly with me munching on my crackers only. Well, people did ask how come i was not eating but i just told them i didn't really feel like it and crackers were good enough.

Well, finally the week has arrived and i will be going in for my 2nd blood test and weigh-in over the weekend. It has really been tough i have to say.

I measured myself yesterday and i noticed results are beginning to tailor off. sob... i did not lost an inch from my arms and thighs for 2 weeks already and they are huge! i really hope they are not going to stay like that or i'll just died. My mum said my boobs and bottom have really shrinked but my arms stick out sorely. My sister was saying if i keep losing inches from my bottom, i won't have one anymore. Gosh, of all parts to lose weight, why does it have to be these two areas first?!!!:banghead:
