Going to the gym

Hey, I'm Joe,

I'm 16 and have been losing weight since I was about 13.

Now that I'm of reasonable size I'd like to start getting some muscle, me and my dad signed up to our local gym on a monthly basis (no contract)

I'm finding it hard getting down to the gym on my own however,

Dad has a lot of work going on so can't make it as much as I want to go but I feel sort of embarrased going to the gym on my own.

I never had a lot of self esteem and when I go to the gym I know I'm weak but if i don't go then I'll always be weak..

How do i overcome this 'fear' of going to the gym on my own?

A lot of people I know go to this gym and so that's another reason why...

Also I want to find a good workout and eating routine, if anyone could help me with this it would be great
