going back to school

So, after wasting 3 years of my life at UCONN having no idea what I wanted to do other than some sort of education, I have taken this current school year off to work as a nanny. And after much deep thought and research, I've decided to apply to another school in Connecticut for their Phys. Ed. program. I'm going to be a high school gym teacher! I'm so happy I figured something out! I mailed my application and transcripts today...

Are there any teachers or gym teachers on the forum that could possibly share some tips for me?

thats awsome I was going to ITT for a year then decided that I was tired of working with computers (i will be 22 in may) and keepin it as a hobby cannot work at a desk or inside for that matter really need a job where im active that is why I love construction. But back to school lol I am going to go to a small CC around here because I really blew it in high school (alcoholic that barely graduated) but I am waiting so long because I am going to donate my kidney to my in a bout 2 months hopefully. So I dont wanna get started then have to skip a quarter, cause I will be out for 2 - 5 weeks the doctors say :). But I cannot wait to get back to school I am at a point in my life where I am ready now done with taht partying will be 14 months since I had a drink on march 15.

I'm not teaching yet, finishing up my last year. I'll be doing my student teaching in January; my emphasis is in English education and communication. I'm also persuing my athletic coaching and wrestling coach classes. I've been at this almost 6 years and it took me awhile to figure it out.

I did however spend 2 years substitute teaching and it was quite an experience.
