I just had one today.
A friend of my brothers came over tonight that I haven't seen in a couple of months. He used to be a very athletic looking kid, about 140 or so.. he was the one that first got me into wrestling. Then when he got outta HS he lost track of himself and when I saw him like 4 or 5 months ago I was disappointed. He was raggy, smaller, smoked alot of cigs and weed and drank and looked like a bum. He also had the shakes and my bro said he thought that he (going to be soph in college) was doing cocaine. He changed mentally too and was just different.
Then...tonight he came over and I was extremely impressed to say the least. My bro wasn't here so he helped fix a prob w. my moms car no1 knew how to fix and then we talked for over an hour. He was telling me about his workouts, numbers, and how he is different and is loving it. He said he could bench 250 1RM...he weighs like 156 he said right now. His arms obviously showed it, they were huge and wicked cut. He right now is my ideal body, forget Brad Pitt from Fight Club
. Then he asked to see what I had for weights at home...so we went down and he checked out my bench and said he did a chest and tri workout today, but wanted to show me a little of what he could do. We put on 205 and before I could ask if he needed a lift (assist to unrack weight), he pressed it clean 5 times. I was like...wow. ![Er... what? o_O o_O](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
We talked about everything from diet to workouts to supplements and so on. He knew a hell of a lot more than me. I was honestly amazed. If you knew this kid and what he used to be, then watched him transform into what he did...then his new transformation into what he used to be....your jaw would drop. He was clean shaven, looked alot better and healthier and said he was working out 4 days a week with cardio 2-3 times a week. He said he was also working about 65 hours a week, whereas before he didn't have a job. My mom and I were just very impressed and I am very happy he came by because I've been down on myself recently because I haven't felt the drive to workout as much or run, and have been working 2 jobs and a good amount of hours. He just recindled my passion for the lifts and what it can seriously do. I have missed this feeling but am VERY glad that he brought it back tonight.
![Big grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm lacing up my shoes right now. Going out for a good, long run =]
