Gnc

Bought some GNC Ultra-Mega Gold vitamins (big fancy name right?)
Anyways, I was wondering if they are any good; the store clerk kind of forced me to buy them.

No links to shops please.

Thank you

Don't shop at GNC. It's overpriced.

I've always noticed something about their employees. If you ask them about a product, they always reply with something like, "Well, we sell a lot of xxx". That seems to be the extent of their knowledge - if they sell a bunch of it, it must be good, so they'll recommend it to you - that, and they do push their vitamins down people's throats.

If you don't want to puchase online try the vitamin shoppe if you have one local.

Do not shop at GNC.

"But I have a Gold Card?!" yeah...that they charge you $20 a year to have, and even if you make your $20 back in savings by shopping the one tuesday a month they honor the card, you still pay more than buying online.

And yeah, the pushiness of the unknowledgable clerks, who just wanna earn a fat commission at your expense....NO THANKS.

I actually went in GNC for the first time in 2 years this weekend cuz I happened to be at the mall. not that great.

the vitamins are fine, but next time shop online. you'll get at least the same quality if not better, for at least half the price.

FWIW I'm planning on buying LifeForce by Source Naturals at the next time I need more daily vites...probably at the end of this month. LifeForce is supposed to have excellent absorption, and its less than $20 for 180 caps (I plan on 2 a day, they suggest 4, but that gives you like 1000% of a lot of vitamins and I dont' see that as necessary since my diet is diverse enough...I only use the vitamin for insurance, not reliance)

I think GNC works a bit diffrent in the UK.
Its 20squids a year, but you get 20% off all products.

My mate has a gold card and he gets mine and other friends all our protien. Work out well if there are a a few of you shopping on one card.

You just gotta work the system!

What is a good "ON-Line" shop to get these products? I am thinking about starting the Creatine Monohydrate and Whey Protein, but been looking around and prices really vary, powder or pills? flavors?? etc.

What is a solid site to get stuff and try things out. I am doing well with my lifting, but ready to go to the next step.

Any advice to a good online "shop" would be appreciated.

I saw GNC prices compared to other places, I am still shocked!

many people on this site have their own fav online shops. It would be best for you to have a look round the suppliments forum and read about the diffrent sites and products.

I've used a lot in the past.

I've converted to Nitrean protein from and their creatine is good too.

Optimum Nutrition brand protein is fine too, I just prefer a whey + casein blend right now. ON has good 100% whey, and a whey + egg albumen blend.
I like Nitrean's taste and mixability, but ON is second on my list.

I always shopped at GNC. Its true, their sales men are really not very knowledgable as many people in here.;)

I would really suggest you to go to any Shop with your own research, or else its easy to get sucked in.:(

GNC, Over priced?? May be....but most of the time I buy things at GNC when they have some kind of sale, like Buy one get one 50% off, I pay about $70.00 for 10lbs of protein which has "Whey Protein Isolate" in it. From my research I found "Whey Protein Isolate" is kind of more fine form of protein. Please correct me if I am wrong.:(

For regular 100% whey protein, I pay around $50.00 for 10lbs. (Prices are approx).

In talking with people on message boards, it seems that GNC differs from one area to the next. The last time I was in one I found the Optimum Nutrition 5lb whey for $40 dollars where someone mentioned in another state that it was $25 dollars regular price.

I personally try to avoid GNC as much as possible

Yes GNC is no place to get anything.. My bro was a reg there but he knew the owners and that would be the only reason why he purchased stuff from there.. Now we both go to the new vitamin shop to get our junk.
